Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

True Temper AMT Black is a steel iron shaft with Ascending Mass Technology: each shaft gets heavier as you move from the long irons to the wedge. True Temper rates it mid launch, mid spin for a deliberate tempo. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip version, sold one shaft per iron (3-iron to wedge) in Regular (94 to 115 g) and Stiff (95 to 116 g).

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Tapered (0.355") Tip Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want lighter long irons and heavier scoring clubs in one set
  • Swing with a smooth, deliberate tempo: True Temper's rating for AMT Black
  • Want a mid launch and mid spin
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft made for each iron

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want the highest launch and most spin in the AMT line: True Temper rates the AMT Red high on both
  • Want a heavier, lower-flying AMT: the AMT White is rated low launch and low spin
  • Swing with a fast, aggressive tempo: take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz to find a better match

How It Plays

Ascending Mass Technology. True Temper adds weight through the set, so the long irons are lighter and the short irons heavier. True Temper says this helps keep your tempo and feel consistent from the wedges up to the long irons.

Mid launch, mid spin. True Temper rates AMT Black medium on trajectory and spin, with low torque, for a deliberate tempo: a slower backswing and a smoother transition.

Two flexes. In Regular the 3-iron shaft weighs 94 g and the wedge 115 g. In Stiff it runs 95 g to 116 g. Both have a 0.600" butt.
