Driver & Fairway Wood Adapter (2013 to current)
Our TaylorMade-compatible driver and fairway wood adapter fits .335" tip shafts and is available in right hand and left hand. It includes the screw and end cap; a wrench is not included. TaylorMade's 4° loft sleeve adjusts loft by ±2°, which also changes face angle and lie, and TaylorMade's own custom builder lists 12 sleeve settings.

Hand: Right hand and left handImportant: Not every TaylorMade fairway wood has an adjustable hosel. If the shaft on yours goes straight into the head with no sleeve, it needs a reshaft rather than an adapter. The R9, R11 and original RBZ use a different sleeve, listed below.
-
Rescue / Hybrid Adapter
Our TaylorMade-compatible Rescue adapter fits .370" tip hybrid shafts, a different tip size from the .335" driver and fairway sleeve, and is available in right hand and left hand. TaylorMade describes the Qi35 Rescue hosel as a 3° loft sleeve; older Rescue heads carry their own markings, so set the sleeve to the positions shown on your club.
Compatible Rescues:
- Qi35 Rescue
- Qi10 Tour Rescue
- Stealth 2 Plus Rescue
- Stealth Plus Rescue
- SIM2 Rescue (adjustable)
- GAPR
- M1, M3 Rescue
- SLDR Rescue

Hand: Right hand and left handImportant: Rescue shafts are not interchangeable with driver or fairway wood shafts. Not every TaylorMade Rescue has an adjustable hosel. If yours has no sleeve, it needs a reshaft rather than an adapter.
-
R9 / R11 / RBZ Adapter (2009 to 2012)
TaylorMade's first adjustable drivers used a different, larger sleeve. Our R9 / R11 / RBZ-compatible adapter fits .335" tip shafts and is listed in right hand only. It includes the end cap and screw; a wrench is not included.
Compatible models:
- R9 drivers and fairway woods
- R11 drivers and fairway woods
- RBZ (original, black) drivers and fairway woods
Tip size: 0.335"
Hand: Right handImportant: This sleeve does not fit the RBZ Stage 2 or anything newer; those take the 2013-to-current adapter. If you play a left-hand R9, R11 or RBZ, text us at (408) 475-7570 before ordering.
Which Adapter Do I Need?
-
I play a TaylorMade Qi35, Qi10, Stealth, SIM, M-series, R15, SLDR, R1 or RBZ Stage 2 driver.
You need the TaylorMade-compatible driver and fairway wood adapter (.335" tip). One sleeve covers all of them, so a shaft built for a SIM2 goes straight into a Qi35.
-
I play an adjustable TaylorMade fairway wood.
Same sleeve as the driver: the driver and fairway wood adapter (.335" tip). Check your fairway is on the list; a fairway with no sleeve in the hosel is bonded and needs a reshaft instead.
-
I play a TaylorMade Rescue.
You need the TaylorMade-compatible Rescue adapter (.370" tip). It covers the adjustable Rescues from the RBZ Stage 2 and SLDR through the Qi35, plus the GAPR.
-
I play an R9, R11 or original RBZ.
You need the R9 / R11 / RBZ adapter (.335" tip, right hand). It is a different sleeve from everything 2013 and newer.
-
I'm not sure which TaylorMade model I have.
Check the sole of your clubhead. The model name is stamped there on every TaylorMade driver, fairway wood and Rescue. Match it to the list above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a TaylorMade-compatible adapter shaft fit all TaylorMade drivers?
Will a TaylorMade-compatible adapter shaft fit all TaylorMade drivers?
One sleeve fits every adjustable TaylorMade driver from 2013 onward: Qi35, Qi10, Stealth 2, Stealth, SIM2, SIM, M1 to M6, SLDR, R15, R1 and RBZ Stage 2, plus the BRNR Mini and 300 Mini, all with a .335" tip. The R9, R11 and original RBZ use a different, larger sleeve, which we also carry in right hand. If your model is not listed, text our team at (408) 475-7570 before ordering.
Does the same TaylorMade adapter fit my fairway wood?
Does the same TaylorMade adapter fit my fairway wood?
Yes, if your fairway wood is adjustable. The driver and fairway sleeve is the same part. Not every TaylorMade fairway has an adjustable hosel, so check yours is on the list; a fairway with no sleeve is bonded and needs a reshaft instead.
Is the TaylorMade Rescue adapter the same as the driver adapter?
Is the TaylorMade Rescue adapter the same as the driver adapter?
No. Rescues use a .370" tip sleeve and drivers and fairways use a .335" sleeve, so they are different shafts, not the same shaft with a different adapter. The Rescue sleeve covers the adjustable Rescues from the RBZ Stage 2 and SLDR through the Qi35, plus the GAPR. Select "Hybrid" from the club type dropdown and place a separate order from your driver shaft.
If I upgrade my TaylorMade driver, can I use the same assembled shaft?
If I upgrade my TaylorMade driver, can I use the same assembled shaft?
Yes, as long as both drivers are on the 2013-to-current list. A shaft built for a SIM2 goes straight into a Stealth 2 or Qi35 with no change, and the loft sleeve settings work the same way. The only break in the line is between the R9, R11 and original RBZ and everything from the R1 and RBZ Stage 2 onward.
Does installing a TaylorMade-compatible adapter affect the loft sleeve settings?
Does installing a TaylorMade-compatible adapter affect the loft sleeve settings?
No. The adapter fits TaylorMade's adjustable hosel, so the sleeve settings work as they did with the stock shaft. TaylorMade says its 4° loft sleeve adjusts loft by ±2°, which also changes face angle and lie, and its custom builder lists 12 sleeve settings. Set the sleeve to the markings on your club and tighten with your TaylorMade wrench.
Ready to upgrade your TaylorMade?
Every shaft in our TaylorMade collection ships with the correct TaylorMade-compatible adapter already installed, assembled to your flex, weight and playing length. Once you have confirmed your adapter, the next step is choosing the shaft. Our Fujikura Ventus Shaft Guide, Graphite Design Shaft Guide, Mitsubishi Shaft Guide and Project X Shaft Guide each break down a full lineup by launch, spin and swing speed.
