Cobra has used two adapter generations and they are not interchangeable. This guide tells you which adapter fits your Cobra club so you order the right one the first time. DarkSpeed / Aerojet Driver & Fairway Wood Adapter Compatibility
Our Cobra-compatible DarkSpeed and Aerojet generation adapter fits .335" tip driver and fairway wood shafts, is available in right hand and left hand, and includes an end cap and screw. Loft adjusts ±1.5° from the loft printed on the head, and the adapter has draw settings to help with pushes and slices. A wrench is not included.
Cobra used this hosel for a decade, so one adapter covers every driver and fairway from the Biocell through the DarkSpeed.

Our Cobra-compatible DS-ADAPT (FutureFit33) driver and fairway wood adapter fits .335" tip shafts, is available in right hand and left hand, and includes an end cap and screw. Cobra's FutureFit33 hosel has 33 loft and lie settings: loft and lie each adjust ±2° in any direction while the face stays square at every setting. A wrench is not included.
This adapter covers Cobra's current and most recent driver and fairway wood generations.

Our Cobra-compatible DS-ADAPT hybrid adapter fits .370" tip hybrid shafts, a different tip size from the .335" driver and fairway wood adapter. It is available in right hand and left hand and includes an end cap and screw. Like the driver adapter, it uses Cobra's FutureFit33 hosel with 33 loft and lie settings. A wrench is not included.

Which Adapter Do I Need?

I play a Cobra OPTM, DS-ADAPT or King TEC Mini driver or fairway wood.

You need the Cobra DS-ADAPT driver and fairway wood adapter (.335" tip). It covers the full OPTM line, all DS-ADAPT models and the King TEC Mini. Select "DS-ADAPT Driver/Fairway" from the adapter dropdown on any product page.
I play a Cobra DS-ADAPT hybrid.

You need the Cobra DS-ADAPT hybrid adapter (.370" tip). It is a separate sleeve from the driver and fairway wood adapter. Select "DS-ADAPT Hybrid" from the adapter dropdown on any product page.
I play a Cobra DarkSpeed, Aerojet, LTDx, Radspeed, Speedzone, King F6 to F9, Fly-Z or Biocell driver or fairway wood.

You need the Cobra DarkSpeed / Aerojet generation adapter (.335" tip). One sleeve covers all of these. Select "DarkSpeed/Aerojet" from the adapter dropdown on any product page.
I want assembled shafts for both my Cobra driver and fairway wood.

Within each generation one adapter covers both club types. The shaft itself is tip-trimmed differently for a driver and a fairway, and built to a different playing length, so place a separate order for each club.

What is the difference between the Cobra DS-ADAPT adapter and the DarkSpeed / Aerojet adapter?

They are two different adapter generations and they do not interchange. The DS-ADAPT adapter is the current generation. It fits the OPTM line, the King TEC Mini and all DS-ADAPT models, and uses Cobra's FutureFit33 hosel with 33 loft and lie settings, each adjustable ±2°. The DarkSpeed / Aerojet adapter fits every Cobra driver and fairway from the Biocell through the DarkSpeed, with ±1.5° of loft adjustment and draw settings. A shaft built with a DS-ADAPT adapter will not fit a DarkSpeed driver, and the reverse is also true, so confirm your exact Cobra model before ordering.

Does the Cobra adapter fit both my driver and fairway wood?

Yes. Within each generation the same adapter covers drivers and fairway woods. A DS-ADAPT driver and a DS-ADAPT fairway both take the DS-ADAPT driver and fairway wood adapter, and the same applies to the DarkSpeed / Aerojet generation. The shaft is tip-trimmed differently for each club type and playing length, so place a separate order for each club, but the adapter is the same part.

How many adjustability settings does the Cobra DS-ADAPT adapter have?

The DS-ADAPT FutureFit33 hosel has 33 loft and lie settings. Loft and lie each adjust ±2° in any direction while the face stays square at every setting. The DarkSpeed / Aerojet generation adapter adjusts loft ±1.5° and has draw settings, so the DS-ADAPT adapter gives a wider range and independent lie control.

Are Cobra adapter shafts interchangeable if I upgrade my driver?

Only within the same adapter generation. A shaft built with a DS-ADAPT adapter fits any OPTM, King TEC Mini or DS-ADAPT driver, so moving from a DS-ADAPT to an OPTM needs no change. Moving from a DarkSpeed to an OPTM crosses generations and the shaft will not transfer. Check the generation guide above before upgrading.

Can I order a Cobra hybrid shaft as well as a driver shaft?

Yes. We carry the Cobra DS-ADAPT hybrid adapter alongside the full driver shaft range. The hybrid adapter takes a .370" tip, which is physically different from the .335" driver and fairway wood adapter, so these are different shafts, not the same shaft with a different sleeve. Select "Hybrid" from the club type dropdown and place a separate order from your driver shaft.
