Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The KBS C-Taper is a steel iron shaft that KBS rates low launch and low spin, inspired by tour player feedback for a low, piercing trajectory and shot control. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip version in a satin finish, sold one shaft per iron in five flexes from Regular (110 g) to X-Stiff (130 g).

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Tapered (0.355") Tip Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a low, piercing ball flight with low spin, KBS's rating for the C-Taper
  • Want flex in small steps: R, R+, S, S+ and X, with 5 g between each
  • Like a heavier steel shaft, 110 to 130 g
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft made for each iron

Not the right fit if you...

  • Have irons that take a 0.370" parallel tip: choose the C-Taper 0.370" instead
  • Want more height and a lighter shaft: the C-Taper Lite is rated mid-high launch at 105 to 115 g
  • Want launch help or a light shaft under 110 g: take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz to find a better match

How It Plays

Low and piercing. KBS built the C-Taper from tour player feedback for players who need a low, piercing trajectory and tight shot control. KBS sums it up as low launch, low spin and its signature feel.

Five flexes, five weights. Each flex has its own weight: Regular 110 g, R+ 115 g, Stiff 120 g, S+ 125 g and X-Stiff 130 g.

Made for every iron. KBS makes the taper C-Taper from the 2-iron to the sand wedge, in a satin finish.

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel. Order one shaft for each iron you are reshafting and pick the iron number in the dropdown: KBS makes the taper C-Taper for each iron from 2-iron to sand wedge, so a 7-iron shaft is not meant to go in your 5-iron. If your irons take a 0.370" parallel tip, get the C-Taper 0.370" instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the KBS C-Taper weigh?

KBS lists 110 g for Regular, 115 g for R+, 120 g for Stiff, 125 g for S+ and 130 g for X-Stiff.

Which C-Taper flex should I choose?

KBS publishes no swing-speed range for the C-Taper. Weight rises with flex, so Regular is the lightest and X-Stiff the heaviest. Many players start near the flex of their current shafts. Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz or text our team before ordering.

What is the difference between the 0.355" and 0.370" C-Taper?

Same C-Taper design, different tip. This 0.355" version is a taper-tip shaft made for one specific iron, so you order one per club. The C-Taper 0.370" is a parallel-tip shaft in one 43" length that gets trimmed to fit, and KBS lists it at 125 to 140 g.

Why is the KBS label not on my shaft?

The official KBS label is included separately, to be put on during club assembly so it lines up the way you want. A temporary white factory SKU label may be on the shaft until then. Both are normal for genuine KBS shafts.

How is the C-Taper different from the C-Taper Lite?

KBS rates the C-Taper low launch and low spin at 110 to 130 g. The C-Taper Lite is lighter (105 to 115 g) and rated mid-high launch with controlled spin.

The 120g is an Stiff flex.

The 115g is an Regular+ flex.

The 110g is an Regular flex.

  • If I get the 9/w xstiff KBS ctaper tour shafts would these fit in my takomo sf002 wedges?
