Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The KBS C-Taper Lite puts KBS C-Taper performance into a lighter steel shaft. A firm tip and soft butt give it a mid-high launch with controlled spin. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip version in a satin finish, sold one shaft per iron in Regular (105 g), Stiff (110 g) and X-Stiff (115 g).

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Tapered (0.355") Tip Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Like the C-Taper's control but want a higher flight than its low-launch rating
  • Want steel that is lighter than most tour shafts, 105 to 115 g
  • Want a stable tip with an easier-loading butt section
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft made for each iron

Not the right fit if you...

  • Have irons that take a 0.370" parallel tip: choose the C-Taper Lite 0.370" instead
  • Want a lower, more piercing flight: the original KBS C-Taper is rated low launch, low spin
  • Want something lighter than 105 g: take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz to find a better match

How It Plays

Firm tip, soft butt. KBS pairs a firm tip with a softer butt section, which it says produces a mid-high trajectory with controlled spin.

Constant taper. The C-Taper Lite uses a constant taper design with a matching increase in wall thickness, which KBS says improves energy transfer. KBS reports its independent testing showed 5 or more yards of added distance.

Three flexes. Regular weighs 105 g, Stiff 110 g and X-Stiff 115 g. KBS makes the taper version for every club from the 2-iron to the sand wedge.

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel. Order one shaft for each iron you are reshafting and pick the iron number in the dropdown: KBS makes the taper C-Taper Lite for each club from 2-iron to sand wedge, so a 7-iron shaft is not meant to go in your 5-iron. For a wedge, choose the 9-iron / wedge option. If your irons take a 0.370" parallel tip, get the C-Taper Lite 0.370" instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the KBS C-Taper Lite weigh?

KBS lists 105 g for Regular, 110 g for Stiff and 115 g for X-Stiff in the 0.355" taper tip.

Which C-Taper Lite flex should I choose?

KBS publishes no swing-speed range for the C-Taper Lite. Weight rises with flex, so Regular is the lightest. Many players start near the flex of their current shafts. Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz or text our team before ordering.

What is the difference between the 0.355" and 0.370" C-Taper Lite?

Same C-Taper Lite design, different tip. This 0.355" version is made for one specific iron, so you order one per club. The C-Taper Lite 0.370" comes in one 42" length that gets tip and butt trimmed to fit, and KBS lists it at 108.5 to 125 g.

Why is the KBS label not on my shaft?

The official KBS label is included separately, to be put on during club assembly so it lines up the way you want. A temporary white factory SKU label may be on the shaft until then. Both are normal for genuine KBS shafts.

How is the C-Taper Lite different from the C-Taper?

The KBS C-Taper is heavier (110 to 130 g) and rated low launch, low spin. The C-Taper Lite is lighter (105 to 115 g) and rated mid-high launch with controlled spin.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • I just purchased the kbs c-taper lite shafts from you and was wondering if they come with ferrules?

No, the shafts do not come with ferrules, but you can purchase them separately here: https://www.grips4less.com/collections/golf-club-ferrules

  • What is the average length for standard 7 iron

    Hi Terry,

    Great question 👍

The standard length for a 7 iron is typically around 37.0 inches for most modern builds.

That said, it can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer (some may be 36.75"–37.25"), but 37" is the most common reference point.

If you’re planning a build with the KBS C-Taper Lite (.355 taper), we can help you match the rest of your set to the correct progression as well — just let us know 👍

    Best regards,
    Jim

  • What’s the trimming instructions for the 4 iron shaft? Is it butt trim to length?

No tip trimming. Only butt trim to acheive final desired playing length.
