WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 3.0 17" takes the Tour 3.0 profile, SuperStroke's traditional parallel shape, and makes it a 17-inch long putter grip, 6.4" longer than SuperStroke's standard grip. SuperStroke lists it at 1.26" wide, 17" long and 93 g, with a 0.60" core. The extra length suits an armlock setup or adds counterbalance above the hands. It has no Tech-Port.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want the Tour 3.0 shape in a long grip for an armlock setup
  • Want counterbalance from a grip that extends above your hands
  • Like a non-tapered grip that keeps grip pressure even in both hands
  • Have a putter shaft that takes a 0.60" core grip

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want to add a CounterCore weight: the Tour 3.0 17" has no Tech-Port
  • Want a standard-length Tour 3.0: see the Zenergy Tour 3.0
  • Need a swing grip: the Tour 3.0 17" is for putters only

How It Feels

Tour 3.0 Profile, No Taper. The Tour Series parallel design gives the lower hand a uniform profile, which keeps grip pressure even and helps hold the putter head path. An embossed SPYNE ridge runs along the underside.

17-Inch Length. At 6.4" longer than SuperStroke's standard grip, you can run the grip up your lead forearm for an armlock setup, or hold it lower so the extra length sits above your hands as counterbalance.

No Tech-Port. This grip has no Tech-Port, so it can't hold a CounterCore weight.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • I just got a used Scotty Cameron Golo 7 with the dual balance weight in the shaft (38"). The grip is in need of replacement. I would like to replace it with a 17-inch 3.0 grip. First question > Due to the shaft being larger on the butt end, will a SuperStoke grip fit on? Second question - Does this grip go all way down onto the shaft therefor maintaining my 38 " length? What are my options with SuperStroke for this?

    Hi Russell,

    Thank you for your question.

Yes, we've worked with a number of Scotty Cameron Dual Balance putters.

Regarding your first question, the 17" SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 3.0 will generally fit the larger butt section of the Dual Balance shaft. Because the shaft has an oversized butt diameter due to the internal counterweight, installation is a little tighter than on a standard putter shaft, but it can be installed successfully using the proper installation technique.

As for your second question, yes, the 17" grip installs fully onto the shaft just like the original grip. It will slide all the way down until it seats properly, so your 38" playing length will remain essentially unchanged.

The only thing to keep in mind is the counterweight. If you plan to keep the factory Dual Balance weight in the shaft, the SuperStroke grip is a good option. If you're planning to remove the counterweight or significantly change the overall balance, there may be better grip choices depending on the feel you're after.

If your goal is simply to replace the worn grip while maintaining the original Dual Balance setup, the 17" SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 3.0 is an excellent choice.

If you have any questions about the installation or would like to discuss other SuperStroke models, I'd be happy to help.

    Thanks,

    Jim

  • So is the last 6 inches of the grip hollow or solid? Would you need to use a shaft extension of some type is what I'm asking?

The grip is hollow. Many players do add an extension to their putter shaft to make it longer.
