Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 120 is a steel iron shaft with a stiff tip and a softer mid section, a recipe Nippon uses to strengthen the trajectory and cut unwanted spin. Nippon rates it mid trajectory. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip version, sold one shaft per iron (2-iron to wedge) in R, S, X and TX from 111 to 126 g.

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a stronger, more controlled flight: Nippon gives it a stiff tip to steady impact and limit unwanted spin
  • Want a shaft any tempo can control: Nippon softens the mid section for exactly that
  • Want a TX option: R, S, X and TX from 111 to 126 g
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft made for each iron

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Stiff tip, softer middle. Nippon makes the tip section rigid to steady the head at impact, cut unwanted spin and give a stronger flight. The mid section is softer so players with any swing tempo can control it, and the butt is softer too, for a smoother feel at impact.

Tight tolerances. Nippon credits the Modus3 line's distance control to its raw steel and heat treatment, and its dispersion to strict quality tolerances. The kick point is listed as mid/high.

Four flexes. R weighs 111 g, S 114 g, X 120 g and TX 126 g, with torque falling from 1.8° to 1.5°.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • If I need the length 3/4 inch longer than stock. How much do I cut, or how do I measure that?

Since these are .355" taper tip shafts, they are not tip trimmed. Each shaft is made for a specific iron.

To build your clubs 3/4" over standard, install the appropriate shaft into the club head first, then butt trim the shaft until the finished club measures 3/4" longer than the manufacturer's standard playing length.

  • Are these standard length shafts? If I need 1" longer since I am 6'4 how do I go about that?

they are about 1.50{ longer than standard .

  • Do they come with grips?

Shafts do not come with grips. You can purchase grips separately here: In Stock Swing Grips
