WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The KBS Generation is KBS's iron shaft for younger players with lower swing speeds. KBS based it on the same EI curve as the KBS MAX to help juniors launch the ball higher while adding spin and accuracy. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip chrome version, 80 to 89 g, sold one shaft per iron in R2, R or S (R starts at the 4-iron).

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Tapered (0.355") Tip Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Are fitting a junior golfer who needs help getting the ball in the air
  • Want a light steel shaft, 80 to 89 g, for a young player's irons
  • Want three flexes to match the player as they grow: R2, R and S
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Built for juniors. KBS designed the Generation for the younger generation of players, who swing slower than adults and need help with height.

MAX bend curve. KBS based it on the same EI curve as the KBS MAX, so a young player gets a higher launch with added spin and accuracy.

Three flexes, one weight range. R2 and S run 80 to 89 g from the 3-iron to the pitching wedge; R runs 80 to 88 g from the 4-iron. All have a 0.560" butt, smaller than an adult shaft's.

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel. Order one shaft for each iron and pick the flex and iron in the dropdown. KBS makes these shafts at junior raw lengths, 37.5" for the 3-iron down to 34" for the wedge, so they suit junior clubs rather than adult-length irons.

KBS lists 80 to 89 g for the R2 and S, and 80 to 88 g for the R.

The official KBS label is included separately, to be put on during club assembly so it lines up the way you want. A temporary white factory SKU label may be on the shaft until then. Both are normal for genuine KBS shafts.
