INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

We do not accept any international returns at this time.

At Grips4less, we strive to provide a smooth international shopping experience. To ensure clarity regarding shipping, duties, and returns, please review our policy below:

  • If an international order is refused or the required duties/taxes remain unpaid, the carrier may return the package to us.
  • In such cases, customers will be responsible for all shipping costs, including outbound and return shipping fees.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Project X U is a steel shaft made for utility irons and hybrids, rather than an iron shaft tipped down to fit them. We sell it in 6.0 (110 g, mid launch, mid spin) and 5.5 (105 g, mid-high launch and spin), with a brushed chrome finish that cuts glare. This is the uncut shaft: 40.5" raw length with a 0.370" tip.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want steel in your hybrid or utility iron instead of graphite
  • Want a shaft made for long clubs rather than a tipped iron shaft
  • Play a stiff 6.0 iron shaft and want a mid flight, or a 5.5 and want a little more height
  • Are a club builder or DIY builder who needs an uncut 0.370" tip shaft

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Utility irons and hybrids play differently from a standard iron, yet they often get a regular iron shaft cut down to fit. The Project X U is built for those longer clubs from the start, in steel with a brushed chrome finish that reduces glare at address.

Two flexes, two flights. The 6.0 weighs 110 g and is rated mid launch and mid spin. The 5.5 weighs 105 g and is rated mid-high launch and mid-high spin, so it suits a player who wants the ball up a little more. Both come at 40.5" with a 0.600" butt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which flex should I choose?

Match the flex of your iron shafts. The 6.0 (110 g) is rated mid launch and mid spin; the 5.5 (105 g) is rated mid-high launch and mid-high spin. If you are between the two, contact us with your iron shaft and swing details.

Can I use it in a utility iron as well as a hybrid?

Yes. The Project X U is made for utility irons, driving irons and hybrids with a 0.370" parallel bore. Your club builder trims it to suit the head and length.

Is the Project X U steel or graphite?

Steel, with a brushed chrome finish that reduces glare.

How much should I tip trim it?
