WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The UST Mamiya 55 Gold is a lightweight graphite driver and fairway shaft with a mid-high ball flight. UST designed the Gold wood shafts to hit the ball farther with more accuracy, and uses the same high modulus carbon fiber as its original Proforce models. This is the uncut shaft: 46" raw length, 0.335" tip, 4.0" parallel tip, in A, R or S flex at 49 to 53 g.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a higher ball flight for more carry: UST rates every 55 Gold flex mid-high launch
  • Want a light shaft, 49 to 53 g, that is easy to swing
  • Play senior, regular or stiff flex
  • Are a club builder or DIY builder who needs an uncut shaft

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want a flatter, more penetrating flight: UST designed the Proforce V2 for that
  • Need x-stiff or a heavier shaft: the 55 Gold comes in A, R and S at 49 to 53 g
  • Want the adapter and grip installed: this is the uncut shaft only, so contact us for help with a build

How It Plays

Light and built for distance. UST describes the 55 Gold as a lightweight model with a mid-high ball flight for distance, made with the same high modulus carbon fiber used in the original Proforce shafts.

Mid-high launch. UST rates all three flexes mid-high launch with 4.5 degrees of torque. The A weighs 49 g, the R 50 g and the S 53 g, so the flexes play close in weight and differ mostly in stiffness.
