WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Project X Titan Black is a low-launch, low-spin driver and fairway shaft that True Temper built for today's faster, more aggressive swings. It pairs a more elastic handle with mid and tip sections that firm up progressively, and True Temper rates it for a fast tempo. This is the uncut shaft: 46" raw length, 0.335" tip, in 11 options from Titan Black 60 5.5 (66 g) to Titan Black 80 TX.

Want it ready to play? Get it assembled

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Have a fast, aggressive tempo but still want to feel the shaft load in transition
  • Launch the ball too high or spin it too much: True Temper rates the Titan Black low trajectory and low spin
  • Want a choice of 60, 70 or 80 series from regular to TX
  • Are a club builder or DIY builder who needs an uncut shaft

Not the right fit if you...

  • Have a smooth, moderate tempo: True Temper rates the Denali Black low launch and low spin for a moderate tempo
  • Need more height and spin: look at a mid- or high-launch profile
  • Want it ready to install in an adjustable driver or fairway: get the assembled Titan Black

How It Plays

Advanced EI curve and Synex. True Temper gives the Titan Black a more elastic handle that firms through the mid and tip, so players feel the shaft load in transition while it stays stable through impact. Synex Technology, a multi-axial carbon fiber matrix, adds hoop stiffness from the handle to the midsection to keep the shaft from ovalizing under load.

Low launch, low spin. True Temper rates the Titan Black low trajectory, low spin and fast tempo. Torque runs from 3.5 in the 60 series 5.5 down to 2.6 in the 80 series TX.
