WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Nippon N.S. Pro Zelos 6 Iron Shaft Bundle Set is a set of ultralight steel iron shafts with a 0.355" taper tip or a 0.370" parallel tip. Choose #3-PW or #4-GW (8 shafts), or #4-PW or #5-GW (7 shafts). Nippon makes the Zelos 6 in one flex at 68.5 g, about 6 g lighter than the Zelos 7.

Before you order: pick the tip that matches your iron hosels, 0.355" taper or 0.370" parallel. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work. Only need one or two clubs? Buy the Zelos 6 single shaft (0.355") or the 0.370" single shaft.

The 0.355" taper tips come already sized for each iron. Whichever tip you choose, the butt end is left long so your club builder can cut each shaft to its final length. Want us to install them? See our Retrofit Service.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Are reshafting a set of irons with 0.355" taper or 0.370" parallel hosels
  • Want the lightest steel shaft Nippon makes: 68.5 g
  • Have a slower swing speed and want more head speed, launch and spin from steel (Nippon's aim for the Zelos 6)
  • Want a gentle bend that Nippon says makes timing easier

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Ultralight steel. Nippon took about 6 g out of the Zelos 7 to make the Zelos 6, using its NZNS60 material. It says the lower weight raises head speed and ball speed, as well as launch angle and spin.

Gentle bend. Nippon says the gentle bending stiffness makes timing and accuracy easier to find even at slower head speeds, while keeping the flight and direction of a steel shaft. It has a tip-side kick point.

Which Zelos Should I Choose?

Nippon publishes no swing speed or flex chart for the Zelos line. It separates the models by weight, so choose the weight first and then your flex. Here is how the Zelos shafts compare on Nippon's figures.

Zelos 6 (this page) 68.5 One flex 3.0
Zelos 7 73.5–77.5 R2, R, S 2.9–2.6

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • I see the Zelos 7 offer R2 or senior flex but do see R2 in the Zelos 6. Do they offer Senior flex in the 6?

The Zelos 6 is only offered in Regular flex. The Zelos 7 would be the best option for a Senior (R2) flex shaft.

  • Zelos 6 fit Ping G25 ?

Yes, but make sure to select the tip size that matches the Ping G25 hosel size (usually 0.355" tip, but please confirm with the manufacturer)

  • Do these Zelos 6 fit my Taylormade Burner 2.0 iron set?

Most of the TaylorMade Burner irons are 0.370" hosel size, but we'd recommend confirming this with the manufacturer. You'll just want to match the tip size with the hosel size of the head (either 0.370" tip or 0.355" tip), accordingly.

  • Will they fit titlest ap 2

Make sure to select the 0.355" tip size, since the AP2 irons are 0.355" hosel.

  • What tip size would I need for PXG 2011

PXG irons use a 0.370" hosel bore, so you'll want to select the 0.370" tip size shaft.

  • Zelos 6 steel shaft work in ping g 710?

Ping irons are 0.355" hosel size, so you'll want to make sure to select the 0.355" tip shafts.

  • will this fit the PXG 0311T first gen?

PXG irons are 0.370" hosel, so make sure to select the 0.370" tip size.

  • what shaft weight are the Zelos 6 steel shafts Regular flex

The Zelos 6 shafts are 68.5 grams.

  • Can I use 9 iron shaft for picking wedge because I am tall person?

Yes, it's common to sub the #9 shaft for a wedge club.

  • My iron shots go pretty low and very not far (pw goes 105-110 yds). Will these shafts help me with higher trajectory and hopefully bit more distance?

Depends on which shaft you are currently hitting, but yes, this is high launching shaft so it should generally help with getting higher trajectory and distance ◡̈.

  • Will the zeros 6 fit my mozino hot metal 921 irons, also do the 4-PW set come precut to length?

Please double check which tip size you need.  Mizuno should be able to confirm which tip it is. These shafts come in both .355 or .370 tip.

The tapered tip is pre-cut to length but there is some extra length available for modification purposes.

  • Zelos 6 steel shaft work in the Taylormade P790?

Please double check which tip size you need (Taylormade should be able to confirm ). These shafts come in both .355 or .370 tip.

The tapered tip is pre-cut to length but there is some extra length available for modification purposes.

  • Are your iron shafts precut?

The tapered shafts are precut but there is always a little extra length for modification purposes.

  • What tip size do I need for ping G425

You'll need 0.355" tip for G425 iron clubs.
