WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is the Fujikura Pro 95 Tour Spec sold as a set: 6, 7 or 8 of the same graphite iron shaft in one flex, Tour S at 96 g or Tour X at 97.5 g, for golfers reshafting a whole bag of irons at once. It's the firm-tip version of the Pro 95, with a mid-high bend point, low-mid launch and low-mid spin, and a high-density core that gets you steel swingweights at steel length. Every shaft in the set is a 40.5" one-length blank with a 0.370" parallel tip and a 6.0" parallel section, built at 2-iron length so each one gets its own tip trim and a builder can soft step or hard step the set. Shafts only, nothing cut and nothing installed. Only need one or two? Buy the single Pro 95 Tour Spec instead.

Not sure this is your profile? Take the 2-Minute Shaft Quiz or compare every Fujikura family in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

What's in the Set

Set Covers, for example Flex Raw length
8 shafts 3-iron through pitching wedge Tour S or Tour X 40.5", all eight
7 shafts 4-iron through pitching wedge Tour S or Tour X 40.5", all seven
6 shafts 5-iron through pitching wedge Tour S or Tour X 40.5", all six

Every shaft in a set is the same model and flex. Heads, grips and ferrules aren't included. Need 9? Contact us and we'll quote it.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Are pulling stiff or extra stiff steel out of a full set and want one graphite shaft that runs 3-iron to wedge
  • Hit your irons high already and want the flight brought down a window with less spin
  • Have irons with a 0.370" parallel hosel, or a builder who's confirmed that's what they take
  • Want set pricing instead of adding the same shaft to your cart six or eight times

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

The tip is the difference. Next to the standard Pro 95i S, the Tour S carries a much firmer tip and butt (42 and 40 against 52 and 47, and the lower number is the stiffer one on Fujikura's scale) with a touch less torque. That's what moves the bend point up and pulls launch and spin down. You feel it as a shaft that doesn't kick the ball up for you. If you load the club hard, that's exactly what you want.

Steel swingweights without the steel. The usual problem with graphite irons is that the finished set comes out head-light and you end up adding lead tape to every club. The high-density core is there to fix that. Build these to your steel lengths and the swingweights land where you expect, so the clubs still have some heft through the ball.

One blank, trimmed for each iron. All six, seven or eight shafts ship at 2-iron length. Your builder tip trims each one for its iron, then butt trims to playing length. Because the tip trim is what sets the stiffness, a builder can soft step the set to land you between Tour S and Tour X, or hard step it if the X isn't quite enough.

Picking a flex and a set size, and what to tell your builder

  • Tour S or Tour X. If you play stiff steel and don't fight a low ball flight, start with the Tour S. The Tour X is 1.5 g heavier with a firmer tip and butt and 2.7 torque instead of 2.8. Go there if you play X steel now or your misses with a stiff shaft start left. Neither one is a regular flex; if you need an R, you want the standard Pro 95i on the Pro Iron page.
  • Count your irons before you pick a set. Six covers 5 through pitching wedge, seven adds the 4, eight adds the 3. If you carry a gap wedge with the same hosel, that's where a ninth shaft comes in, and we can quote that.
  • Every shaft needs its own tip trim. They all arrive at the same 40.5", and the amount that comes off the tip steps up as the irons get shorter, with the wedge getting the most. If your builder doesn't have Fujikura's iron trim chart, contact us with your set makeup before anyone cuts.
  • Going to jumbo grips at the same time? Heavier grips pull swingweight down, so tell your builder before the heads go on. The firm tip on this shaft handles it well; the set won't suddenly feel whippy.

Pro 95i Tour Spec Tour X 97.5 38 37 2.7 0.605 Mid-high Low-mid Low-mid

Graphite with a high-density core. Raw length 40.5" on every shaft in the set, parallel tip section 6.0", tip diameter 0.370" (our measurement; the tip diameter isn't on Fujikura's chart). Tip flex and butt flex are Fujikura's stiffness ratings; within a model, the stiffer flex has the lower number.

How the Pro Iron Line Compares

Model Flexes Weights Torque Launch Spin Bend Point
Pro Iron, 65i to 95i R2, R, S 70 to 95 g 3.0 to 3.1 Mid Mid Mid
Pro 95i Tour Spec set (You're here) Tour S, Tour X 96 to 97.5 g 2.7 to 2.8 Low-mid Low-mid Mid-high
Pro 115i Tour Spec Tour S, Tour X 116.5 to 117 g 2.3 to 2.5 Low-mid Low-mid Mid-high

Launch, spin, bend point and torque are Fujikura's ratings. All three share the high-density core, the 40.5" blank and the 0.370" parallel tip. The 115 is the same profile about 20 g heavier, for golfers who play heavy steel; it's sold as singles only. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a 0.370" set fit my irons?

Only if the hosels are 0.370" parallel, so check before you buy a full set. Plenty of irons, forged players irons in particular, take a 0.355" taper tip instead. You could shim a parallel shaft into a taper hosel or have a builder sand the tip down, and we don't recommend either when a proper taper shaft exists. For those heads, the Axiom 0.355" taper is the Fujikura shaft built for each iron. If you're not sure what your hosel takes, contact us with the head model before you order a full set.

Can I use these in my wedges too?

If your wedges have a 0.370" parallel hosel, yes, and running the same shaft through the whole set keeps the feel consistent from the long irons to the sand wedge. Check the hosel first, though. This shaft doesn't come in taper, so if your wedges take a 0.355" taper tip, finish the set with the Axiom 0.355" taper. Not sure what your wedges take? Contact us with the head model.

I play 90 g stiff steel now. Is the Tour S a good swap?

Yes, that's the swap we'd make. The Tour S is a few grams heavier than a 90 g steel shaft, so the weight won't throw you, and you'll lose the sting of steel on thin shots and get a smoother load. If you're doing 4 through 9 now, you can add the pitching wedge as a single later once you've hit the set.

Which one is closer to a regular flex?

Neither, honestly. The Tour S is the softer of the two, but it plays on the firm side of stiff, and the Tour X is a step up from that. If you play regular steel and want this weight, the standard Pro 95i R on the Pro Iron page is the right shaft. It's 95 g with a mid bend point and a much softer tip.

What's the actual difference between Tour S and Tour X?

Stiffness, mostly. On Fujikura's scale, where the lower number is stiffer, the Tour X is 38 at the tip and 37 at the butt against 42 and 40 for the Tour S. It's 1.5 g heavier, and torque drops from 2.8 to 2.7. Launch, spin and bend point ratings are the same. The faster you swing and the harder you hit from the top, the more you'll want the X. If you're between them, buy the S and have your builder hard step it.

Can I get a set of 9?

Yes. The listing stops at 8, which covers 3-iron through pitching wedge, but we'll quote a 9-shaft set if you want the gap wedge done at the same time. Contact us with the flex and we'll set it up.
