WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Pro White is a low-launch, low-spin driver shaft with a firm mid section and a medium handle and tip. Mitsubishi puts 1K carbon fiber in the handle to keep it from deforming in the downswing, and uses MR70 plus 46-ton carbon fiber and boron in the tip section for strength. We sell it in the 50, 60, 70 and 80 series in R, S, X and TX flex. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a low launch and low spin
  • Like a stable handle and a strong mid, with a tip that still feels active
  • Swing about 81 mph or faster: Mitsubishi fits R at 81-90 mph, S at 91-105 mph, and X or TX above 106 mph
  • Want the 1K handle in a lighter build: the 50 and 60 series weigh 54 to 67 grams

Not the right fit if you...

  • Swing under 80 mph: Mitsubishi doesn't recommend a 1K Pro White flex below that speed
  • Need more launch: the TENSEI 1K Pro Blue is the mid-launch 1K Pro
  • Want the stiffest tip in the 1K family: that is the TENSEI 1K Black

How It Plays

Mitsubishi rates the 1K Pro White low launch, low spin, with a flex profile of medium butt, firm mid and medium tip and a high kick point. The strong mid keeps the shaft stable through the downswing, while the medium handle and tip give it a more active feel than the 1K Black.

The 1K carbon fiber in the handle is three times thinner than carbon kevlar, so the weave is tighter and more consistent. Mitsubishi uses it to stop the handle from deforming under load, which helps you find the center of the face. MR70 adds strength, the tip section gets 46-ton carbon fiber and boron, and the Xlink Tech resin lets Mitsubishi raise the carbon fiber content without giving up durability.

Mitsubishi's own advice: anyone looking for low launch and low spin with stability in the handle should try the 1K Pro White.

Frequently Asked Questions

What swing speed is the Tensei 1K Pro White for?

Mitsubishi's driver fitting chart puts R flex at 81-90 mph in the 50 and 60 series, S at 91-105 mph, and X or TX above 106 mph. The 80 series is fit as X or TX only. It doesn't recommend a 1K Pro White flex under 80 mph.

How is the 1K Pro White different from the 1K Black?

Mitsubishi rates both low launch and low spin with a firm mid. The 1K Black has the firmest tip in the 1K family (firm-plus), while the 1K Pro White has a medium tip, so it feels more active through impact. The 1K Pro White also comes in lighter 50 and 60 weights.

What does 1K carbon fiber do?

1K refers to a very fine carbon fiber weave, three times thinner than carbon kevlar. Mitsubishi uses it in the handle of the 1K Pro White to resist deforming in the downswing, which gives the shaft a stable, connected feel.

Can this shaft be built for a fairway wood?

Yes. Select the fairway wood option and your adapter when adding to cart. Fairway builds can be cut from 38.5" to 43.5" adapter tip to grip, or built to the standard length for your head.

What's included with this assembled shaft?

The shaft arrives with your OEM-compatible adapter tip installed (Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Krank, Mizuno, Ping, PXG, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Tour Edge or Wilson; see all shaft adapters) and your chosen grip installed. Club head is not included. Just attach to your driver or fairway wood head and play. See full assembled shaft details.

Can I return an assembled shaft?

No. Each assembled shaft is built to your specs, so we can't restock it. Double-check your flex, length, grip and adapter before you order, and contact us if you'd like help confirming them.

Not sure which shaft is right for your game?

Text our shaft experts at (818) 473-9086 before you order. We've been fitting golfers since 1991 and are happy to talk through your swing speed, current shaft, and what you're trying to fix.
