Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura Pro 115 Tour Spec is the heaviest shaft in the Pro iron line, a 116.5 to 117 g graphite iron shaft for golfers who play heavy steel and want to keep that weight in their hands. It has the same firm-tip profile as the Pro 95 Tour Spec, with a mid-high bend point, low-mid launch and low-mid spin, and the lowest torque of the three at 2.3 to 2.5, plus a high-density core that gets you steel swingweights at steel length. It comes in Tour S and Tour X as a 40.5" one-length blank with a 0.370" parallel tip and a 6.0" parallel section. Every shaft is a 2-iron-length blank that gets its own tip trim for the iron it goes in, which is also what lets a builder soft step or hard step a set. This is the raw shaft, one for each iron, nothing cut and nothing installed.

Not sure this is your profile? Take the 2-Minute Shaft Quiz or compare every Fujikura family in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Play 120 g and up stiff or extra stiff steel and don't want a lighter club, just an easier one on your joints
  • Hit your irons high already and want the flight brought down a window with less spin
  • Have irons with a 0.370" parallel hosel, or a builder who's confirmed that's what they take
  • Have tried lighter graphite and found the head got away from you at the top

Not the right fit if you...

  • Play steel in the 90 to 105 g range. The Pro 95 Tour Spec is the same profile about 20 g lighter
  • Play regular flex, or want to keep the height you have. The standard Pro Iron is mid launch and mid spin in R2, R and S
  • Have 0.355" taper hosels. Don't sand this one down. The Axiom 0.355" taper is made for each iron and drops straight in
  • Want this weight with Fujikura's multi-material bias core. The Axiom 0.370" goes up to a 125 g X

How It Plays

Steel weight, graphite feel. At 117 g this is close to the weight of a lot of stiff steel, so the clubs swing the way you're used to and you don't have to relearn your tempo. What changes is the vibration on thin and toe hits, which graphite soaks up and steel sends straight into your hands. For golfers who play heavy steel because they want the stability and are paying for it in sore elbows, this is the shaft.

The tip is firm and the torque is tight. Tip and butt stiffness sit right where the Pro 95 Tour Spec's do (42 and 40 on the Tour S, 38 and 36 on the Tour X, and the lower number is the stiffer one on Fujikura's scale), and torque drops to 2.5 and 2.3, the lowest in the Pro iron line. The bend point sits mid-high with launch and spin at low-mid. You feel it as a shaft that doesn't kick the ball up for you and doesn't twist when you catch one on the toe.

One blank, trimmed for each iron. Every shaft ships at 2-iron length. Your builder tip trims each one for its iron, then butt trims to playing length. Because the tip trim is what sets the stiffness, a builder can soft step a set to land you between Tour S and Tour X, or hard step it if the X isn't quite enough.

Picking a flex, and how to order

  • Tour S or Tour X. If you play stiff steel around this weight and don't fight a low ball flight, start with the Tour S. The Tour X is half a gram heavier with a firmer tip and butt and 2.3 torque instead of 2.5. Go there if you play X steel now or your misses with a stiff shaft start left. Neither one is a regular flex; if you need an R, the standard Pro Iron tops out at 95 g.
  • Don't go heavy to fix a swing flaw. Weight calms the head down, but 117 g in graphite is still 117 g. If your steel feels heavy late in the round, the Pro 95 Tour Spec gives you the same tip without the weight. If it doesn't, stay here.
  • Order one shaft for each iron. They all arrive at the same 40.5" and each one needs its own tip trim before it's cut to length. The amount steps up as the irons get shorter, with the wedges getting the most. If your builder doesn't have Fujikura's iron trim chart, contact us with your set makeup before you cut anything.
  • 0.370" parallel only. If your irons take 0.355" taper, buy the Axiom taper and save yourself the headache. It's made for each iron and needs no sanding or shimming.

How the Pro Iron Line Compares

Model Flexes Weights Torque Launch Spin Bend Point
Pro Iron, 65i to 95i R2, R, S 70 to 95 g 3.0 to 3.1 Mid Mid Mid

Launch, spin, bend point and torque are Fujikura's ratings. All three share the high-density core, the 40.5" blank and the 0.370" parallel tip; the two Tour Spec builds share the firm tip, and weight is what separates them. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a 0.370" shaft fit my irons?

Only if the hosel is 0.370" parallel. Plenty of irons take a 0.355" taper tip instead, so you'd be shimming or sanding to make it work, and we don't recommend either. For those heads the Fujikura shaft is the Axiom 0.355" taper, built for each iron. Contact us with your head model before you order and we'll tell you which tip it takes.

Why go to 117 g graphite instead of just playing steel?

Feel, mostly. The weight is close to what you get from stiff steel, so the point isn't a lighter club. It's that graphite doesn't send the shock of a thin shot into your wrists and elbows the way steel does. If you've got a sore joint and you're dreading the range, this is the shaft that lets you keep swinging the club you're used to.

Pro 115 or Pro 95 Tour Spec?

Same tip, same bend point, same launch and spin ratings. The only real difference is 20 g, and torque, which is tighter on the 115. Match the weight of the steel you play now. If it's 120 g and up, start here. If it's under 105 g, or you're coming to graphite to lighten the club, go to the 95. When you're between, go lighter. A shaft that's a little light is easier to live with than one that's a little heavy.

Does it come with a grip?

No. This is the bare 40.5" shaft, nothing installed and nothing cut. Grips, ferrules and tape are sold separately, and your builder will want the shaft trimmed and installed before the grip goes on anyway.
