It was the first Fujikura shaft with VeloCore, a multi-material bias core that stabilizes the clubhead through impact. We sell it from the 5 to the 8 series, R through TX. How It Plays

Fujikura rates every original Ventus Blue flex we sell mid launch, low spin, mid bend point. Its profile is an ultra-stiff tip, stiff mid and firm handle. The ultra-stiff tip keeps the head from kicking up at impact, while the firm handle gives more feel in the hands than the Ventus Black.

VeloCore is Fujikura's multi-material bias core. It uses full-length Pitch 70 Ton carbon fiber, which Fujikura rates about 150% stronger and more stable than T1100G, with 40 Ton bias layers for feel. The goal is more stability through transition and impact, which means more ball speed and tighter dispersion when you miss the center.

The 5 series weighs 58.5 to 59 g, the 6 series 65 g, the 7 series 76 to 77.5 g and the 8 series 84.5 to 86 g. Torque drops from 3.7 in the 5 R to 2.9 in the 7 X and 8 TX.

Is the Ventus Blue played on Tour?

How does the Ventus Blue compare to the TR Blue?

Both are rated mid launch and low spin with an ultra-stiff tip and stiff mid. The TR Blue adds Spread Tow fabric in the mid and handle and has a stiff handle, where the original Ventus Blue's handle is firm.

Can this shaft be built for a fairway wood?

  • What shaft should i be using ? I am 73 and swing around 80

    Usually an A-flex (or Senior flex) works for swing speeds between 75-90mph.

  • Is this same shaft for fairway woods?

    Yes it is , but we will tip trim the shaft according to the manufacturer's recommendation for the specific fairway wood..

    Yes, this shaft has the VeloCore technology (not VeloCore+)

  • What is the adapter tip to grip length for callaway Elyte?

    Callaway drivers like the Elyte have a standard finished playing length that they are built to. For most Callaway drivers, including the Elyte, the standard finished playing length is 45.75 inches.

    But the Callaway Elyte driver adds 1" to the final playing length , so the standard "tip to grip" length is 44 3/4"
