Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Swing between 70-95 mph and want a lightweight Ventus
  • Need more height and carry off the tee
  • Want VeloCore+ stability in a shaft under 50 g
  • Have a smooth to moderate tempo and want a shaft that loads easily
  • Want a senior (R2) flex in the Ventus family

Not the right fit if you...

  • Swing 95+ mph: the White will feel too light at higher speeds
  • Already launch it high or spin it too much: the White adds launch and spin
  • Want more weight options: the Ventus Blue VeloCore+ and Ventus Red VeloCore+ run from the 5 to the 9 series

How It Plays

Fujikura rates the Ventus White high launch, mid-high spin, low bend point in every flex. The low bend point makes the tip section more active, which helps get the ball up for players who don't have the speed to launch it on their own.

At 49.5 g, it is the lightest Ventus Fujikura makes, and every flex shares a 5.0 torque. The flexes differ in stiffness: Fujikura's tip flex rating runs from 134 in the R2 to 120 in the S.

VeloCore+ is the same multi-material bias core used across the current Ventus line. It stabilizes the clubhead through impact, so off-center hits fly closer to your good ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

What swing speed is the Ventus White designed for?

The R2 (senior) flex suits swing speeds under 80 mph. Regular fits roughly 80-90 mph. Stiff is for players around 90-95 mph who want a lighter shaft but still need some control. Above 95 mph, the Ventus Blue or Red in a 5 or 6 series is usually the better fit.

What's the difference between the Ventus White and the Ventus Red?

Fujikura rates the White high launch, mid-high spin and the Red mid-high launch, mid spin. The White is also lighter: 49.5 g in every flex, where the lightest Red is 59 g. If you need more height and a lighter shaft, the White; if you want a little less spin and more weight options, the Red.

Does the Ventus White come in different weights?

No. Every Ventus White is the 4 series at 49.5 g. You choose the flex: R2, R or S.

Can this shaft be built for a fairway wood?

Yes. Select the fairway wood option and your adapter when adding to cart. Fairway builds can be cut from 38.5" to 43.5" adapter tip to grip, or built to the standard length for your head.

What's included with this assembled shaft?

The shaft arrives with your OEM-compatible adapter tip installed (Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Krank, Mizuno, Ping, PXG, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Tour Edge or Wilson; see all shaft adapters) and your chosen grip installed. Club head is not included. Just attach to your driver or fairway wood head and play. See full assembled shaft details.

Can I return an assembled shaft?

No. Each assembled shaft is built to your specs, so we can't restock it. Double-check your flex, length, grip and adapter before you order, and contact us if you'd like help confirming them.

Not sure which shaft is right for your game?

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Just wondering I’m looking at the ventus white and currently use Gt2 with Mitsubishi stiff with 55 gram. Still feels a little heavy but looking for more. I’m 41 with really bad shoulders so weight in the club is important. Usually carry between 240 and 250 with current shaft

    Hi Ross,

    Thank you for your question.

Based on the information you've provided, I'm not sure the Ventus White would be my first recommendation.

The Ventus White is designed as a low-launch, low-spin shaft and is typically favored by golfers with higher swing speeds and more aggressive transitions. While it is an excellent shaft, it may not be the best fit if you're already concerned about club weight and have shoulder issues.

With a carry distance of 240-250 yards, I'm guessing your driver swing speed is probably somewhere in the 90-100 mph range. Since you're currently playing a 55g Mitsubishi Stiff and it still feels a little heavy, I would be more inclined to look at a lighter shaft profile.

A few options I would consider are:

    • Ventus Red Velocore+ 5-S – lighter feeling, easier to load, and very stable.
    • Ventus Blue Velocore+ 5-S – the most versatile option in the Ventus lineup.
    • Ventus White Velocore+ 5-S – if your primary goal is reducing spin and tightening dispersion, but I'd be cautious given your comments about weight and your shoulders.

Before making a recommendation, could you tell me:

    • What Mitsubishi shaft model you're currently playing?
    • Your approximate driver swing speed (if known)?
    • Whether your typical miss is left or right?
    • Whether you tend to hit the ball too high, too low, or about right?

One final thought: with shoulder issues, total club weight often matters more than shaft profile. We may be able to help your shoulders more by selecting the right weight class than simply moving to a different Ventus model.

    Best regards,

    Jim

  • Will the white velocore +be a good fit for a taylormade m2 d

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your question.

Yes, the Fujikura Ventus White Velocore+ can certainly be installed in a TaylorMade M2 D-Type driver, but whether it is a good fit depends more on your swing than the clubhead itself.

The Ventus White Velocore+ is designed for golfers who:

    • Have a more aggressive transition
    • Generate higher swing speeds
    • Prefer a low-launch, low-spin ball flight
    • Want maximum stability through impact

If you're currently hitting the ball too high or fighting excessive spin, the Ventus White may be an excellent choice.

However, if you're looking for more launch, more carry distance, or have a smoother swing tempo, you may be better served by the Ventus Blue Velocore+, which is the most popular and versatile model in the Ventus lineup.

    If you can tell me:

    • Your age
    • Approximate driver swing speed
    • Typical ball flight (low, mid, or high)
    • Current shaft model and flex

I'd be happy to recommend whether the Ventus White, Blue, or Black would be the best fit for your game.

    Best regards,

    Jim

  • Will this fit the GTS2 driver?

    Hi Erik,

    Yes, absolutely.

The Fujikura Ventus VeloCore+ Driver Shaft can be assembled to fit your Titleist GT2 driver. Simply select the appropriate Titleist GT / TSR / TSi / TS adapter option when placing your order, and we'll install the correct adapter before shipping.

If you'd like, I can also help recommend the proper Ventus White weight and flex based on your:

    • Age
    • Handicap
    • Driver swing speed (or average driving distance)
    • Typical ball flight

    Thanks,

    Jim
    Grips4Less

  • What does R2,R,S mean on the Ventus white?

    Hi Lou,

The letters refer to the shaft flex:

    • R2 = Senior / A Flex (softest)
    • R = Regular Flex
    • S = Stiff Flex
    • X = Extra Stiff Flex (available in some models)

    As a general guideline:

    • R2 (Senior): Driver swing speed below 85 mph
    • R (Regular): Driver swing speed 85–95 mph
    • S (Stiff): Driver swing speed 95–105 mph
    • X (Extra Stiff): Driver swing speed above 105 mph

    If you tell me your:

    • Age
    • Handicap
    • Driver swing speed (or average driving distance)
    • Typical ball flight

I'd be happy to recommend the best Ventus White flex for your game.

    Thanks,

    Jim
