WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura Ventus White with VeloCore+ is the lightweight, high-launch shaft in the Ventus family, added in 2025 for golfers who need the ball up and don't have the speed to muscle it there. Every option is a White 4 at 49.5 g, the lightest shaft on Fujikura's Ventus chart, with a firm tip, medium mid and soft handle and 5.0 torque, so it loads on a smooth swing while the core keeps the face from twisting. This is the raw shaft: 46" uncut, 3.0" parallel tip, 0.335" tip diameter, in R2, R or S flex. If you build your own clubs or have a shop you trust, this is the listing you want.

Not sure White is your profile? Take the 2-Minute Shaft Quiz or compare every profile in our Fujikura Ventus Shaft Guide.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Swing a driver somewhere between 70 and 95 mph and need more height and carry
  • Want a shaft under 50 g that still has the Ventus core keeping the face steady on thin and heel hits
  • Have a smooth to moderate tempo and want a shaft you can feel load
  • Build your own clubs or have a fitter who'll cut, tip and install it for you

Not the right fit if you...

  • Swing over about 95 mph, or already launch it high and spin it plenty. The Ventus Red is the next step up in weight, and the Ventus Blue brings spin down
  • Need an X flex or a heavier shaft. The White comes in one weight, and the Red runs 59 to 94.5 g from R2 through X
  • Want it cut to length with the adapter and grip already on, ready to screw into your driver. Order the assembled Ventus White instead

How It Plays

Light and easy to load, not loose. The soft handle is what lets a slower swing bend this shaft, and the firm tip is what keeps that bend from turning into a hook. The 5.0 torque is the highest in the family, which is part of why it feels livelier in your hands than a Blue. What you don't get is the whippy, where-did-that-go feel that most sub-50 g shafts come with, and that's the core's doing.

High launch and mid-high spin in every flex. All three options share the same weight, the same low bend point and the same profile. The only thing that changes is stiffness, with a tip flex rating of 134 in the R2, 126 in the R and 120 in the S. That makes this an easy shaft to buy. Weight isn't a decision, so you're only picking the flex that matches your tempo.

The core is the whole point. VeloCore+ is a multi-material bias core that runs the full length of the shaft and keeps the tip from twisting on heel and toe hits. The plus version adds another core material over the original VeloCore, and the goal is the same: tighter dispersion and a little more ball speed on the hits that aren't flush. In a shaft this light, it's the difference between a lightweight shaft you can trust and one you have to steer.

Picking a flex, and what to tip

  • One weight, three flexes. It's 49.5 g whichever you pick, so this is a tempo decision. Our guide: the R2 for a smooth swing under about 80 mph, the R from about 80 to 90, and the S from about 90 to 95. On the line between two? A quick transition takes the stiffer one and a smooth one takes the softer.
  • Coming down from a 60 g shaft. Expect the head to feel a little lighter in your hands at the top, because a lighter shaft brings swingweight down a touch. If you're picking the White, that's usually the point. If it feels too light once it's built, a heavier head weight is the easier fix, so tell your builder before the epoxy sets.
  • Tip trimming. Fujikura's chart is 0" for a driver or 3 wood, 0.5" for a 5 wood, 1.0" for a 7 wood and 1.5" for a 9 wood, and every inch you tip is roughly one flex stiffer. The chart calls those suggestions, and Fujikura doesn't generally recommend tipping a driver or 3 wood shaft at all. Want to sit between R and S? Tip 0.5" and butt trim to length.

Specifications

Model Flex Weight (g) Tip Flex Butt Flex Torque Butt Dia. Bend Pt. Spin Launch

White 4 S 49.5 120 100 5.0 0.602 Low Mid-high High

Graphite. Raw length 46", parallel tip section 3.0", tip diameter 0.335" (our measurement; the tip diameter isn't on Fujikura's chart). Tip flex and butt flex are Fujikura's stiffness ratings; within a model, the stiffer flex has the lower number.

How the Ventus Family Compares

Profile Launch Spin Bend Point Tip / Mid / Handle Weights Our Speed Guide
Ventus White (You're here) High Mid-high Low Firm / Medium / Soft 49.5 g 70 to 95 mph
Ventus Red Mid-high Mid Low Stiff / Firm / Ultra-stiff 59 to 94.5 g 70 to 105 mph
Ventus Blue Mid Low Mid Ultra-stiff / Stiff / Firm 58 to 94 g 85 to 110 mph
Ventus Black Low Low High Ultra-stiff / Stiff / Ultra-stiff 59.5 to 93 g 95+ mph

Launch, spin, bend point and section stiffness are Fujikura's ratings. The speed column is our fitting guidance from building these for customers, not a Fujikura number. There's no Spread Tow version of the White, so if you want a light shaft with a quicker-transition profile, the 2026 Ventus TR Red at 60 g is the closest thing. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the White the stiff, low-spin Ventus?

No, and it's an easy mix-up because other shaft brands use white for their Tour-stiff model. In the Ventus family the White is the opposite end: the lightest, the highest launching and the softest profile of the four. If you came here looking for the low-spin, hold-the-face-at-all-costs Ventus, that's the Black, or the Blue if you want some help getting it up. If you came here because you need height and a light shaft, you're in the right place.

I swing about 88 to 90 mph. R or S?

The R. At that speed the S is at the top of its range on a light shaft, and you'll likely struggle to get the ball up with it, which defeats the reason you're buying a White. The R loads cleanly at 88 to 90 and still has the core holding the face. The exception is a very quick, aggressive transition. If that's you and you already play a stiff everywhere else, the S can work, but we'd want to talk to you first.

Is there a lighter Ventus, like 40 g?

Not yet. The White 4 at 49.5 g is the lightest shaft on Fujikura's Ventus chart. If you need to get under that, the Air Speeder runs 40.5 to 48 g and launches high too, but it's a different construction without the Ventus core, with torque up around 7.5 to 9.0. For most golfers, the White is light enough and a lot steadier.

Does it work in a fairway wood?

It can, and for a golfer who needs help launching a 3 wood off the deck it makes sense. Most golfers want more weight in a fairway than in the driver, though, and the White only comes in one. If your driver is a White and you want the same feel in a 3 wood, look at the Ventus Red 5 or 6, which keeps the higher flight with a bit more mass behind it. For a 5 wood and up in the White, follow Fujikura's chart in the callout above.

Do I need an adapter to use this shaft?

Only if your driver or fairway has an adjustable hosel, which most do. The 0.335" tip fits every current adapter, and you can pick one up from our shaft adapters. If you'd rather not epoxy it yourself, the assembled listing includes the adapter and the install.

Does this come with a grip or adapter?

No. This listing is the bare 46" shaft, nothing installed, nothing cut. If you want it ready to screw into your head, order the assembled Ventus White instead and choose your adapter, length and grip at checkout.
