Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura MCI New Generation 2026 is the current run of Fujikura's metal composite iron shaft: carbon fiber with metal joined into it, so a graphite shaft carries its weight the way steel does. It's rated low-mid launch, low-mid spin and a mid bend point in every build, and it comes in three weight series, 60, 80 and 100, from 63 g to 106 g. This is the 0.370" parallel-tip version, and it's sold by iron number, one shaft for each club. If you're building a full set of MCI, this is the page to do it from.

Not sure which weight you need? Take the 2-Minute Shaft Quiz or compare every family in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Play steel now and want graphite that still feels like it has some weight in it, instead of a light shaft that makes the head feel heavy
  • Want a flatter, lower-spin iron flight than Fujikura's mid-launch graphite irons
  • Are reshafting a full set and want every iron from the same current production run, in the same series and flex
  • Have 0.370" parallel-hosel irons and a builder, or a workbench of your own

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want more height and spin out of your irons. The Pro Iron is rated mid launch and mid spin
  • Want a one-length blank you can soft or hard step. That's the Pro Iron too, sold at 40.5" and trimmed to fit
  • Want Fujikura's bias core in an iron shaft. See the Axiom 0.370"
  • Have 0.355" taper-tip irons. The Axiom 0.355" is made iron by iron

How It Plays

Steel-like balance, graphite feel. Metal Composite Technology is carbon and metal built into one shaft. The reason to do that is weight distribution: the MCI puts its mass where a steel iron shaft puts it, so the swingweight and the way the club loads feel familiar if you're coming out of steel. What changes is the feel at impact, which is the reason to go graphite in the first place.

Same flight in every weight. Low-mid launch, low-mid spin and a mid bend point across the 60, 80 and 100. Moving up a series changes weight and torque, not the shape of the shot. Torque goes from 2.9 degrees in the 60 to 2.0 in the 80 and 1.6 in the 100 S, so the heavier shafts are also the tightest through impact.

Made to the iron. Each shaft comes at the raw length for its iron number, 40" at the long end and 35.5" at the short end, with a 2.5" parallel tip section. Pick the number that matches the club it's going into. Your builder butt trims to your playing length and that's the whole job. There's no stepping or tip chart to work through.

Picking a series and flex

  • Match the weight you play now, then adjust. Out of 95 to 105 g steel, the 100 S or the 80 S is the natural landing spot. Out of lightweight steel in the 80s, or a graphite set in the 70s, the 80 series is the direct swap. Go to the 60 series when weight is the problem you're solving, not when you just want a softer feel.
  • Flex runs R and S, and the 100 is S only. There's no senior flex in the MCI. Between R and S, go by your transition: quick and aggressive takes the S, smooth takes the R, whatever the swing speed number on the launch monitor said.
  • Order one line for each iron. A 4 through PW set is seven shafts, seven lines in the cart, all in the same series and flex. Double-check the iron numbers before you pay.
  • About the 100 X on our dropdown. Fujikura's current chart lists the 100 series in R and S only. Contact us before you order the X and we'll confirm what we have and what it weighs.

Graphite with metal composite construction. Raw length runs from 40" to 35.5" by iron number, parallel tip section 2.5", tip diameter 0.370" (our measurement; the tip diameter isn't on Fujikura's chart). Tip flex and butt flex are Fujikura's stiffness ratings; within a model, the stiffer flex has the lower number. The 100 X on our dropdown isn't on the chart, so contact us before ordering it.

How the MCI Weights Compare

Series Flexes We Sell Weight Torque Launch Spin Bend Point
MCI 60 (You're here) R, S 63 to 65 g 2.9 Low-mid Low-mid Mid
MCI 80 (You're here) R, S 84 to 86 g 2.0 Low-mid Low-mid Mid
MCI 100 (You're here) S 106 g 1.6 Low-mid Low-mid Mid

All three series are on this listing, so every row is you. Launch, spin and bend point are Fujikura's ratings. Against the rest of Fujikura's graphite irons: the Pro Iron is rated mid launch and mid spin with a high-density core, and the Axiom 0.370" runs mid launch in the 75 and drops to low-mid launch in the 105 and 125, with low-mid spin in the 105 and low spin in the 125, with Fujikura's bias core. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's new in the 2026 version?

This is the current production MCI, and Fujikura's current chart is the one you see above. The earlier run is still listed on our site with the same numbers, so don't expect a different flight or weight between the two. The practical difference is availability: this page carries every iron number in every series we stock, so a matched set comes from one run.

What do the Weight and Flex and Length dropdowns mean?

Weight and Flex is the series and flex together: 60 R, 60 S, 80 R, 80 S, 100 S or 100 X. Length is the iron the shaft is made for, #3 through #10. A #7 is a 7 iron shaft at the raw length for a 7 iron, so pick the number that matches each club you're reshafting.

Is there a senior or A flex?

No. R is the softest flex in the MCI, and the 60 R at 63 g is the lightest and softest build in the line. If you need softer than that, the MCI isn't the right shaft, and we'd rather point you elsewhere than sell you one that's too stiff.

How do I know if my irons take a 0.370" parallel tip?

Pull one shaft and measure the tip. A parallel tip is 0.370" the whole way along the tip section. A taper tip is 0.355" at the end and widens as you go up. If you'd rather not pull a shaft, contact us with the iron model and year and we'll look it up. Taper hosels take the Axiom 0.355".

Does it come cut and installed?

No. You get the bare shaft at its raw length, with nothing installed and no grip. Want help with the build? Contact us before you order with your iron model and the lengths you play.
