WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Fujikura Axiom is Fujikura's graphite composite iron shaft, built with the same VeloCore technology as the Ventus wood shafts. Fujikura calls it "the iron shaft you ditch steel for." This listing is the 0.370" parallel-tip version, sold as Long, Mid or Short blanks in four weight series: 75, 95, 105 and 125 grams. You trim each one to fit.
Before you order: each blank covers a group of irons (Long for 2 to 4, Mid for 5 to 7, Short for 8-iron to wedge) and gets trimmed to fit, so order one per club. Want them pre-tapered for each iron? Get the Axiom 0.355" version.
Who It's For
Good fit if you...
- Want to switch from steel to graphite without losing stability or control
- Have irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel, or want blanks you can trim and step yourself
- Want VeloCore, the construction behind Ventus, in your irons
- Want to match weight to your swing: from the 75 g lightweight series up to the 125 g series Fujikura built for strong, aggressive swingers
Not the right fit if you...
- Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft already tapered for each iron: choose the Axiom 0.355" version instead
- Want a lighter graphite blank in 65 to 95 g series: the Fujikura Pro Iron covers that range
- Want a very light, high-launch shaft for more carry: every Axiom series is rated mid or low-mid launch by Fujikura. Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz to find a better match
How It Plays
VeloCore is Fujikura's multi-material bias core construction. Fujikura tailored it for Axiom so the club stays more stable through transition and at impact, which it says means more efficient strikes, better results on mishits, and tighter consistency and accuracy.
Built for each part of the set. The parallel Axiom comes in three blanks: Long (2 to 4 iron) to maximize carry while keeping launch and spin controlled enough to hold greens, Mid (5 to 7) for workability and shot shaping, and Short (8-iron to wedge) for accuracy and tighter dispersion. Fujikura notes that torque lowers progressively through the set.
Four weights, one feel. Torque drops as the weight goes up, from 2.1–2.6° in the 75 series to 1.2–1.6° in the 125 series. Fujikura describes the 75 as a lightweight option with the stability of heavier shafts, the 95 as a mid-weight added in 2025 from player and fitter feedback, the 105 as lighter than traditional steel without giving up control, and the 125 as the heavier option for players with strength and speed.

Will It Fit Your Irons?
This shaft is for irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel. Order one shaft for each iron you are reshafting and pick the blank that covers it: Long for the 2 to 4 iron, Mid for the 5 to 7, Short for the 8-iron to wedge. Each blank is then trimmed to fit that iron. Fujikura notes the parallel Axiom can also be trimmed to fit 0.355" taper hosels; if you would rather skip the trimming, get the Axiom 0.355" version, which comes tapered and tip-trimmed for each iron.
Not sure which tip your irons take, or how long each shaft should be? Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz, contact us, or let us install them with our Retrofit Service.

I currently play Dynamic Gold S300 standard length shafts and am trying to determine what the best Axiom equivalent would be from a shaft stiffness standpoint. My initial thought was the 125x but feel this may be too ‘stiff’. Leaning towards the 105s or 105x +0.5” length. Can you provide any insight here?
Hi Christian,
If your main goal is to stay closest to Dynamic Gold S300 from a stiffness and overall feel standpoint, I would actually look first at the Axiom 125 Stiff, not the 125X.
Your DG S300 is around 130g, so the Axiom 125 S keeps you close in weight while still giving you the stability Axiom is known for.
My general comparison would be:
- Axiom 125 S – closest overall transition from DG S300
- Axiom 105 S – lighter and a little easier/smoother to load
- Axiom 105 X – lighter, but firmer and more stable than the 105 S
- Axiom 125 X – probably more shaft than you need unless you have a very aggressive transition or high speed
Also, going +0.5" in playing length does not really make an X-flex equivalent to a Stiff. I would choose flex based on your swing, then build to the desired length separately.
If you tell me your approximate 7-iron distance or driver swing speed, I can narrow it down between 125 S, 105 S, and 105 X for you.
Thanks,

Currently using axiom 125s shafts for my irons. My club speed for 7 iron is 85-89mph. I was thinking of switching to axiom 105s and not swinging as hard. I would like to ease my swing speed around 80-85 mph. Also my wedges and 50 degree are at 125g. If I drop from 125s to 105s, would 105s still provide me stability as much as 125s but not swing as hard and still get the same result?
The Axiom 105s should work well for what you're going for. Both the 125 and 105 use Fujikura's VeloCore technology, so dropping to 105 keeps the stability and tight dispersion you're used to, just lighter. Reviewers confirm the 105 holds up to aggressive swings, and it's still a medium-low launch with a powerful, controlled flight, so you'll get similar ball flight with less effort. Easing your swing from 85-89 down to 80-85 mph in a lighter shaft should give you comparable ball speed and carry with less fatigue.
One thing to flag: mixing 105g iron shafts with 125g wedges creates a weight gap that can throw off transition and tempo. Most fitters like wedges within ~10-20g of the irons, so you may want to eventually match your wedges down too for a more consistent feel through the set.

Hi ... I play the project x hzrd black gen 4 6.0 stiff . They have torque rating of 2.1 . Before I invest in paying double cost to buy these . From what I read , these shafts are far more superior. Yes , I do know and am aware that a good shot is more depending on GOLFER now club . My question is will these play similar? Is it possible that shot dispersion will be tighter? I am building a new set and would like to buy these shafts . New irons , new shaft . I play well with the project x , but if I can improve when spending the extra to buy better . I will !! How will these compare ???
Hi Bryan,
Great question — and you’re thinking about this the right way.
The Fujikura Axiom and Project X HZRDUS Black Gen 4 6.0 are both low-launch, low-spin profiles, but they achieve that feel in different ways.
How they compare:
HZRDUS Black Gen 4: Very stout, linear feel with low torque (around 2.1). Excellent for aggressive transitions and players who like a firm, “one-piece” response.
Fujikura Axiom: Uses a multi-material graphite design that provides more stability throughout the shaft while still feeling smoother. Torque is slightly higher on paper, but real-world stability is extremely high due to the construction.
Will they play similar?
Yes — in terms of launch and spin window, they are comparable. However, most players describe Axiom as smoother with better feedback, especially on off-center strikes. Will dispersion be tighter?
It can be, particularly if you value consistency and vibration control. The biggest gains we see with Axiom are:More consistent strike feel across the face
Reduced vibration and fatigue
Tighter dispersion for players who already strike the ball well
That said, it won’t automatically outperform HZRDUS unless the weight, flex, and build specs are well matched to your swing.
If you’re building a new iron set from scratch, Axiom is an excellent premium upgrade and a very logical choice for someone who already fits well into a low-spin, stable profile like HZRDUS Black.
Best regards,

Could these go one the cobra 3dp tour irons?
Dear Mark,
Thank you for your question regarding the Fujikura Axiom Iron Shaft (0.370" Tip) and its compatibility with your Cobra 3DP Tour irons.
Yes, the Fujikura Axiom Iron Shaft with a .370" tip diameter is compatible with the Cobra 3DP Tour irons. The Cobra 3DP Tour irons are designed to accept shafts with a.370" tip diameter.
This means the shaft will physically fit into the hosel of your club heads. However, please remember that changing shafts is a precise process that requires specialized tools and expertise to ensure optimal performance and feel. We always recommend professional installation by a qualified club builder to ensure proper fit, swing weight, and overall club integrity.
Hope this helps with your project!

Can you install the short axiom shaft into your wedges as well?
Yes, the short Axiom shafts can go into any wedges. Just make sure to get the tip sizes needed for the wedge model you have. Let us know if you have any questions.
-
I have single length clubs 5-SW. Would these shafts work?
The Axiom shafts are grouped into 3 length groups. So the shorter irons would use a shorter shaft, but it depends on what final playing length you are looking for so it could possibly work. Let us know if you have any questions.
-
In your chart you have sizes short medium and long at the end of each shaft. Can you explain the meaning of this?
The Axiom shaft are grouped into 3 iron club lengths:
For your Long irons (#2-iron to #4-iron), you'll choose the "Long" length.
For your Mid irons (#5-iron to #7-iron), you'll choose the "Mid" length.
For your Short irons (#8-iron to wedge), you'll choose the "Short" length.
This is a slightly different approach than how most 0.370" tip iron shafts are created (which are usually single length), and they do this because each group of lengths has a progressive torque, launch, and spin profile. Let us know if you have any questions! -
hi Carol, just wondering if y’all would be able to install a titleist tsr3 hybrid (RH) adapter tip on an Axiom 105 S shaft ? thx
yes, but the longest "tip to grip{ length achievable is around 41" only ..
-
Wanna to one of these in a wedge.. what flex do you recommend
We'd recommend going with the same flex you play in your iron clubs, or one stiffness higher (ie. Stiff, if you play Regular in irons).
-
Also i’m thinking of putting them into a iron that is 30 years old will they fit with the tip. They will be going into the old ping nickel irons. I think they are Isi nickel black dots. Fujikura Axiom shafts 5- wedge. Either 105 stiff short/or 105stiff long. What’s the difference between these 2 shaft choices is it length?
These shafts can be shaved down, so whatever the hosel size it should be doable.
For #5 through #7-irons, you'll want choose MID length. For #8 through wedge clubs, you'll want to select SHORT length.
The LONG iron shafts are for #2 through #4-iron clubs.
