WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Nippon N.S.PRO Putter is a premium steel putter shaft built for stability, feedback, and focus. It's the only putter shaft with Nippon's patented Luxury Silver plating, a fine matte finish that cuts glare so your eyes stay on the ball and the line, not on the shaft. Available in three weights (120g, 140g, and 160g) with the 160g sitting near the upper weight limit of steel, so you can match the shaft to your stroke and head weight. Comes in .355" taper tip and .370" parallel tip at 37".

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a steadier stroke, especially on short putts and under pressure
  • Get distracted by glare or shine from a chrome shaft at address
  • Want clear feedback on where you hit it on the face, even with a soft insert
  • Want to add weight to your putter without adding a counterweight or heavy grip
  • Play a heavier putter head and want a shaft that matches it
  • Prefer the solid, connected feel of steel over graphite

Not the right fit if you...

  • Play a putter where the shaft fits over the hosel: the N.S.PRO is made for putters where the shaft goes inside the hosel
  • Need a bent shaft (single or double bend) to set your toe hang
  • Play a long, belly, or armlock putter longer than the 37" raw length allows
  • Want a softer, more dampened feel at impact

How It Plays

Putter faces and inserts have gotten softer over the years, which feels great but can make it harder to tell where you actually made contact. Nippon built the N.S.PRO Putter to give you that feedback back. Because it's steel and doesn't over-dampen vibration, you can feel the difference between a center strike and a slight miss, with or without an insert. That's the kind of feedback that helps you control impact and dial in your speed.

The Luxury Silver plating is something you won't find on any other putter shaft. It's a fine matte finish that soaks up light instead of reflecting it, so there's no flash or glare at address. The result is a cleaner look down at the ball and better focus on your alignment and stroke. It's also patented and made with a more environmentally friendly plating process.

Weight is the big fitting choice. Heavier means more stability, so the 140g and 160g help quiet the hands and keep the stroke smooth when you're nervous. The 120g is the lightest option, a good pick for heavier heads or players who want stability without making the putter feel too heavy overall. Each weight gets its own logo color, and Nippon left the model name and weight off the shaft graphics so there's nothing extra to look at while you putt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which weight should I choose?

The 140g is the best all-around starting point for most putters. Go 160g if you want the most stability and a heavier, more planted feel, especially if your hands get active under pressure. Go 120g if you play a heavier head and want to keep the overall putter weight in check. Keep in mind a heavier shaft will change swing weight, so you may want to adjust head weights to match.

What is Luxury Silver plating?

It's Nippon's patented matte plating, exclusive to the N.S.PRO Putter. It has a fine, satin texture that cuts down light reflection, so there's no glare off the shaft at address. That makes it easier to focus on alignment and your stroke. It's also made with an environmentally friendly plating process.

Will it fit my putter?

It's designed for putters where the shaft goes inside the hosel. Choose .355" taper tip or .370" parallel tip to match your hosel bore. If your putter needs a bent shaft (like a plumber's neck that uses a double bend shaft) or the shaft slides over the hosel, it isn't the right fit. Not sure? Send us your putter model and we'll check it for you.

How long of a putter can I build with it?

The raw shaft is 37", which covers short to medium putter lengths (most standard 32" to 35" builds). It won't work for long, belly, or armlock putters.

Will I still get feedback with a soft insert putter?

Yes, that's one of the main reasons Nippon designed it. Soft inserts can mute the feel of off-center hits. The N.S.PRO Putter is steel and doesn't over-dampen vibration, so you can still feel where you made contact whether your putter has an insert or not.

Why doesn't the shaft show the model name or weight?

Nippon kept the graphics minimal on purpose so there's nothing extra to look at while you putt. Each weight has its own logo color instead, so you can still tell them apart at a glance.
