Show the swing grip chartHide the swing grip chart14 Lamkin swing grips: Crossline, UTx, Sonar, ST+2, Z5 and more
| Lamkin grip | What it was | Closest SuperStroke grip | Why it matches |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lamkin Crossline (Standard, Black, 360, Plus, 3GEN ACE) | Lamkin’s best-known swing grip: firm, tacky ACE rubber with its crossline texture. | SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 | Crossline 2.0 carries on the Crossline name, made by SuperStroke in Genesis rubber. Its lower hand is fuller (SuperStroke’s 4X Modern Taper), so it feels a little thicker than the old Crossline. |
| Lamkin Crossline Full-Cord (incl. Genesis 360 Full-Cord) | The Crossline with full cord for traction in wet weather. | SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 Full-Cord | Crossline 2.0 Full-Cord is ACE rubber with full cord, now with a fuller lower hand. |
| Lamkin UTx Cord, UTX+ Full Cord | A full-cord ACE grip. The UTX+ added a reduced taper and more material in the lower hand. | SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 Full-Cord | Crossline 2.0 Full-Cord has the same three things that defined the UTX+: ACE rubber, full cord and a reduced taper. |
| Lamkin UT+ (all rubber) | An all-rubber Genesis grip with an X-pattern texture and a reduced taper. | SuperStroke REVL Comfort | REVL Comfort matches it point for point: Genesis+ rubber, the Ultra-Tac X texture and a reduced taper. |
| Lamkin UTx Wrap | A wrap-style UTx with a softer feel. | SuperStroke REVL Comfort | REVL Comfort is SuperStroke’s soft wrap-style grip, with a fuller lower hand. |
| Lamkin Sonar+, Sonar Tour, Sonar+ Black, Sonar+ Hero | Genesis rubber grips. The Sonar+ ran slightly larger than standard sizes. | SuperStroke REVL Player | REVL Player is a full-rubber, all-weather grip with moderate texture and feedback. |
| Lamkin Sonar+ Wrap | A wrap-style Sonar with a reduced taper and a larger lower hand. | SuperStroke REVL Comfort | REVL Comfort is also wrap-style with a fuller lower hand, like four extra wraps of tape. |
| Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid, ST+2 Hybrid Calibrate | A hybrid: cord-infused upper half, smoother rubber lower half, reduced taper. | SuperStroke REVL Element | REVL Element is built the same way: cord under the top hand, softer rubber under the bottom hand. The REVL Element 4X adds the reduced taper too. |
| Lamkin Z5 | Rubber grip with a cord weave under the upper hand and a micro-texture below. | SuperStroke REVL Element | REVL Element has the same layout: cord traction on top, softer rubber below. |
| Lamkin R.E.L. ACE 3GEN | A soft, tacky ACE rubber grip with plenty of feedback. | SuperStroke REVL Player | REVL Player is full rubber with moderate texture and feedback. |
| Lamkin Comfort Plus, Arthritic | Soft grips built for comfort. The Arthritic is larger, with a nubbed texture for lighter grip pressure. | SuperStroke REVL Comfort | REVL Comfort is the softest REVL. For arthritic hands, choose Oversize to get the Jumbo, its largest size. |
| Lamkin Wrap-Tech, Perma-Wrap | Lower-priced wrap-style rubber grips. | SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 | Crossline 2.0 is one of the lowest-priced name-brand swing grips we carry. |
| Lamkin i-Line, X10 | Lower-priced rubber grips. | SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 | Crossline 2.0 is one of the lowest-priced name-brand swing grips we carry. |
| Lamkin Training grip | A molded grip that sets your hands in the correct position. | SuperStroke Training Grip | SuperStroke’s training grip does the same job, in men’s and women’s standard sizes. |

| Lamkin Deep Etched Paddle, Deep Etched Sink Fit | A putter grip with a deep, horizontal etched pattern for traction. | SuperStroke Deep Etched Putter Grip | SuperStroke now makes Deep Etched: the same etched pattern on a standard pistol shape, 79 g on a .58 core. |
| Lamkin Deep Etched Full Cord | The Deep Etched with cord for wet weather. | SuperStroke Deep Etched Cord Putter Grip | SuperStroke Deep Etched Cord adds cord for traction in rain and humidity. 82 g. |
| Lamkin Sink Fit Pistol, Skinny Pistol | A tapered pistol putter grip. | SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol GT | Zenergy Pistol GT has a pistol top that sets your upper hand in place. It has no taper, so it feels fuller in your bottom hand. Pistol GT Tour is the slimmest. |

What Former Lamkin Players Say
Verified buyers on Grips4Less, shown as they wrote them, including the honest ones.
★★★★★
Improvement over previous
Softer and more comfortable than the lamkin crosslie but still very durable, more so than a black/white Tour velvet to previous crossline. +2 Taper on lower hands. I purchased these and the Revel Comfort and believe the crosslines are superior.
★★★★★
Pretty good
They are just as good as the last lamkin grips that came out before super stroke bought them and just as good a golf pride MCC grips. Just want more colors in the future, will definitely buy again
★★★★★
No longer same product
Post acquisition. Thicker than the old standard crossline grips. Ok for now but probably be the last time I use these grips.
★★★★★
Fantastic grip
Best grip I’ve used in years. Can’t believe it doesn’t cost twice as much!
★★★★★
Superstroke full cord grips
My first time using full cord grips, was pleasantly surprised how great of a feel they have. Will definitely keep with the full cord grips.

Yes. SuperStroke bought Lamkin, a family-owned grip maker founded in 1925, in May 2024. Bob Lamkin stayed on as a board member.

Mostly. Lamkin Undersize, Standard and Midsize match SuperStroke’s sizes of the same name. Lamkin Oversize matches SuperStroke’s largest size, Jumbo.
Lamkin vs Golf Pride: what's the difference?
Both made rubber and cord grips. Lamkin was known for ACE and Genesis rubber; Golf Pride for the Tour Velvet and MCC. If you’re choosing between SuperStroke and Golf Pride now, see REVL Element vs Golf Pride MCC.
