The exceptionally engineered Ventus is designed to significantly tighten shot dispersion and maximize ball speed especially on off-center shots. Ventus is a Tour-inspired profile and the first to include Fujikura’s all-new VeloCore Technology in an accelerated taper, ultra-stiff tip profile. Maximum energy transfer from the tip section boosts the clubhead’s performance and a straight taper design enhances loading and feel.

The Ventus Black is built specifically for lower launch and lower spin — a firmer, more stable feel with an ultra-stiff tip section designed to hold up under aggressive transition moves. It works best for stronger ball strikers who are already creating too much height or spin and want to flatten their ball flight. It's also one of the most overfitted shafts in the Ventus lineup — a lot of golfers gravitate toward it because it sounds tour-level, when their actual swing would fit Ventus Blue or even Red much better.
How It Compares
The Ventus Black is the lowest-launching, lowest-spinning, and stiffest profile in the standard Ventus VeloCore+ family — engineered for faster swing speeds who demand maximum spin suppression and a penetrating, controlled ball flight with the tightest dispersion in the lineup. Players who want more height and a more forgiving launch profile should look at the Ventus Blue, or the Ventus Red for the highest launch and spin in the standard Ventus family.

What’s the difference between this Ventus black and the Ventus Blue?
Ventus Black- low launch and low spin. Very firm and stable. Specialized for faster swings or players who hit too hard.
Ventus Blue- mid launch and mid to low spin with a smoother and more responsive feel. Easier to load and fits most players
