What swing speed do I need for the Ventus Black?

Generally 95 mph and above in S flex, 100+ for X flex, and 110+ for TX. Below that threshold the shaft will feel over-stiff and you'll lose distance. If you're on the edge between Black and Blue, the Blue typically delivers better performance for most players -- it still produces low spin without the full stiffness penalty of the Black.

What's the difference between the Ventus Black and the Ventus TR Black?

Both are low-launch, low-spin profiles with VeloCore+ technology -- but the TR Black adds Spread Tow material in the mid and handle sections, which makes it more resistant to early loading under aggressive transitions. The standard Ventus Black has an ultra-stiff tip and ultra-stiff handle but without the Spread Tow reinforcement, which gives it a slightly different feel through transition. Players who load the shaft very hard on the way down typically find the TR Black stays more neutral. Players who want the classic Ventus Black feel that's been proven on Tour for years often prefer the standard version. Both are excellent -- the difference is subtle and feel-based more than performance-based.

Why does the Ventus Black have a high bend point if it's a low-launch shaft?

Bend point is one factor in launch, but it doesn't tell the whole story. The Ventus Black's ultra-stiff tip and ultra-stiff handle dominate the launch profile -- those sections prevent the shaft from kicking through at impact in a way that would promote a higher flight. The high bend point means the shaft flexes higher up, but that flex is so tightly controlled by the stiffness profile that it doesn't translate into higher launch. This is a good example of why fitting based on bend point alone is unreliable -- the full profile matters more than any single number.

Is the Ventus Black the right shaft if I spin the ball a lot?

Possibly -- but high spin has multiple causes. If you spin the ball because your shaft is too soft and kicking early through impact, the Black will help significantly.
