WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura 2026 Ventus TR Blue with VeloCore+ is the sweet spot of the Ventus TR lineup -- a mid-launch, low-spin shaft built for golfers with swing speeds between 85-110 mph who want serious control and stability without the unforgiving feel of the TR Black. The most versatile profile in the TR family and one of the most played shafts on Tour. Arrives fully assembled with your adapter and grip installed. Plug it in and play.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Swing between 85-110 mph with a mid-to-aggressive tempo
  • Want to reduce spin without losing the ability to get the ball in the air
  • Load the shaft hard through transition and need stability in the handle
  • Play a wide range of conditions and want a shaft that works everywhere
  • Tried the standard Ventus Blue and want more stability and tighter dispersion
  • Want Tour-validated performance -- the TR Blue is one of the most gamed shafts on the PGA Tour

Not the right fit if you...

  • Swing under 85 mph and already struggle to get height -- look at the TR Red instead
  • Swing 110+ mph and still spin too much -- the TR Black X or TX may be the better call
  • Have a very smooth, slow tempo -- you won't engage the Spread Tow stability benefits

How It Plays

The TR Blue sits between the Red and the Black in every meaningful way -- launch, spin, tip stiffness, and player demand. The ultra-stiff tip section provides superior stability at impact, resisting the twisting that causes dispersion issues on faster swings. But unlike the TR Black, the overall profile stays responsive enough to give you feedback and feel through the strike.

VeloCore+ adds the multi-material bias core construction that stabilizes the clubhead through impact -- the same technology that's been tightening dispersion for tour players since it was introduced. On the TR Blue, it works in combination with the ultra-stiff tip to keep the face square even when you're really loading the shaft through transition.

Spread Tow material in the mid and handle sections increases torsional stiffness exactly where Fujikura's enso motion capture data shows the most stress during an aggressive downswing. The result is a shaft that loads cleanly, releases consistently, and delivers mid-launch with genuinely low spin -- without requiring tour-level swing speed to play it well.

Frequently Asked Questions

What swing speed is the Ventus TR Blue designed for?

The TR Blue works well from about 85 mph up through 110 mph depending on flex. R flex suits 85-95 mph, S flex 90-105 mph, X flex 100-110 mph, and TX is for tour-level speeds above 110 mph. It's the most versatile profile in the TR lineup -- faster swingers who want spin control without the full stiffness of the TR Black land here most often.

What's the difference between the Ventus TR Blue and the standard Ventus Blue?

Same general mid-launch, low-spin profile but a touch lower, and the TR version adds Spread Tow material in the mid and handle sections, which increases torsional stiffness through the transition and reduces twist at impact. VeloCore+ upgrades the internal core for better face stability on off-center hits. The result is tighter dispersion and a more consistent ball flight, especially for players with aggressive tempos who tend to over-load the standard Blue.

How does the TR Blue compare to the TR Black -- which one do I need?

The TR Blue and TR Black both deliver low spin, but the Blue launches mid while the Black launches low. If you already struggle with height or carry, the TR Blue is the right call. If you spin too much AND launch too high even in a stiff shaft, the TR Black may be worth considering -- but most players 110 mph and under are better served by the TR Blue. When in doubt, text our team before ordering.

Why is the TR Blue so popular on Tour?

Tour players need a shaft that delivers consistent performance across different conditions, courses, and temperatures. The TR Blue hits the right combination -- low enough spin to keep the ball from ballooning in the wind, enough launch to carry hazards, and VeloCore+ stability to keep dispersion tight even on days when ball-striking isn't perfect. It's not the most extreme profile in either direction, which is exactly why it fits the widest range of tour-level swings.

What's included with this assembled shaft?

The shaft arrives with your OEM adapter tip installed (TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Cobra, Titleist, Mizuno, PXG, or Wilson) and your chosen grip installed. Club head is not included. Just attach to your driver or fairway wood head and play. See full assembled shaft details.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Is the upgrade from Ventus TR to TR VeloCore+ even noticeable?

Most players (esp advanced) do notice it, yes. The VeloCore+ adds a carbon fiber wrap around the outside of the shaft that reduces twisting through impact, so you get a slightly more stable, more connected feel and tighter dispersion on off-center hits. If you're flushing it every time the difference is subtle, but if you catch it a bit heel or toe occasionally you'll feel it.

The other thing is the VeloCore+ is a touch firmer through the swing. Some people love it, some prefer the standard TR. If you're happy with your current numbers it's not a must-upgrade, but it is a tangible improvement rather than just a rebadge.

  • What's the launch and spin?

Mid/low launch, mid/low spin. Sits between the standard Ventus Blue (mid-mid) and Ventus Black (low-low). The VeloCore+ stability core keeps the shaft from twisting at impact,  players often notice tighter dispersion immediately. One of the most notable shafts on the market for players who want control without going all the way to a low-low profile.

  • How is the TR Blue different from the standard Ventus Blue?

The TR (Titanium Reinforced) version has more stability built in through the VeloCore+ architecture and the titanium reinforcement layer. It produces slightly lower launch and spin than the standard Blue, and tighter dispersion. If your standard Blue feels a touch loose or you want more control over your shot shape, the TR Blue is the recommendation. Standard Blue works well for a wider range of players; TR Blue is built for players who swing with a quick or aggressive tempo and want more precision.

  • Who should be playing the Ventus TR Blue VeloCore+?

Players who want ultra-stable performance with a mid/low launch and spin profile. The VeloCore+ technology wraps carbon fiber around the full length of the shaft, making it consistently more torsionally stable than a standard shaft. If you've been playing the regular Ventus Blue and want more stability or a slightly lower, more controlled flight, this is the natural next step. It also works well for faster, more aggressive/quick tempo swings well.
