WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 105 is the lighter Modus3 steel iron shaft, with what Nippon calls a traditional, smooth bend profile and a mid spin, mid flight ball flight. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip version, sold one shaft per iron (2-iron to wedge) in R, S and X from 103 to 112 g.
Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work.
Who It's For
Good fit if you...
- Want a lighter Modus3: 103 to 112 g against 111 to 126 g for the Tour 120
- Want a mid flight with mid spin, Nippon's rating for the Tour 105
- Like a smooth, traditional bend instead of a stiff-tip or stiff-mid profile
- Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft made for each iron
Not the right fit if you...
- Have irons that take a 0.370" parallel tip: choose the Modus3 Tour 105 0.370" instead
- Want a heavier shaft with a stiff tip for a stronger flight: look at the Modus3 Tour 120
- Prefer a black finish: see the Modus3 Tour 105 Luxury Black
How It Plays
Tour-tested before launch. Nippon first took this shaft on tour in 2010 as the Modus3 Proto ST, and tour players put it in play right away.
Smooth and lighter. Nippon set out to cut weight for more club head speed while keeping a stronger, more consistent flight. The bend profile is the traditional, smooth one, with the kick point listed toward the grip. Nippon rates it mid spin and mid flight.
Three flexes. R weighs 103 g, S 106.5 g and X 112 g, and torque drops from 1.9° to 1.6° as the flex gets stiffer.

Will It Fit Your Irons?
This shaft is for irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel. Order one shaft for each iron you are reshafting and pick the iron number in the dropdown: Nippon makes each taper shaft for a specific iron, from 41" for the 2-iron down to 37" for the wedge. If your irons take a 0.370" parallel tip, get the Modus3 Tour 105 0.370" instead.
Not sure which tip your irons take, or how long each shaft should be? Read How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work, take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz, or let us install them with our Retrofit Service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
Can I use the Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour105 (.355" Tapered Tip on Mizuno JPX 919 pro?
Yes, since the JPX irons are 0.355" ID hosel, any 0.355" tip shaft will fit.
-
To shorten modus3 shafts do I cut the top or butt?
If you have the .355" tip shafts, then ONLY butt cut to acheive the final desired club length.
-
is this shaft the same in my Minutos JPX 921
Hi Bill,
Do you mean the Mizuno JPX 921 irons? The iron model alone won’t confirm the shaft, since they could have been built with different shaft options.
Please send a photo of the shaft label and flex marking on your current clubs. We’ll check whether it matches the Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 105 before you order.
Jim
-
Will these fit callaway rogue st pro irons? How soon can you ship?
The Callaway Rogue ST Pro irons take 0.370" tip size shafts, so you'll want to use the Modus3 Tour105 (0.370" Parallel Tip) shaft.
-
What is the weight of nsp 105 37" stiff
Hi Peter,
Thank you for your question.
The Nippon N.S. Pro Modus³ Tour 105 Stiff shaft has a raw weight of approximately 106.5 grams. The 37" shaft (typically used for the #9 iron/PW depending on the set configuration) has the same nominal raw weight, with only minor manufacturing tolerances.
If you have any other questions about the Modus³ Tour 105 or need help selecting the right flex, feel free to let me know!
Best regards,
Jim
