Will this shaft fit your irons?

Check before you buy. Takes about 20 seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 130 is a heavyweight Modus3 Tour steel shaft. Nippon pairs a softer tip section with a stiff mid section for a higher trajectory with tour spin, and gives it a middle kick point. This listing is the 0.370" parallel-tip version in R (121 g), S (124 g) or X (129 g), sold one shaft per iron from the 2-iron to the wedge.

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club and pick the iron in the dropdown. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a heavy steel shaft that still launches the ball high
  • Have a fast, powerful transition and want a stiff mid section
  • Like the feel of a firmer butt section
  • Have irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Softer tip, stiff mid. Nippon gives the Tour 130 relatively low tip rigidity for a higher trajectory and high mid-section rigidity to pass on more of the swing's force with less shaft wobble.

Tour spin. Nippon says the Tour 130 has tour spin specifications to handle tough conditions while still flying high.

Firm butt. Nippon raises the butt rigidity to help timing and give a smoother feel at impact. Our figures list torque ranges of 1.8 to 1.3 in R, 1.7 to 1.2 in S and 1.6 to 1.2 in X.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Tour 130 0.370" weigh?

Our figures list the R at 121 g, the S at 124 g and the X at 129 g.

R, S or X?

Nippon does not publish a swing-speed range for the Tour 130. Weight goes up and torque comes down as the flex gets firmer. Contact us or take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz if you are unsure.

0.355" or 0.370"?

Pick the one your iron heads take. The Modus3 Tour 130 0.355" fits taper-tip hosels; this 0.370" version fits parallel-tip hosels. Both come in R, S and X at 121 to 129 g.

Tour 130 or Tour 120?

They use opposite profiles. The Tour 130 has a softer tip and stiff mid for a higher flight; the Tour 120 has a stiff tip and softer mid for a controlled, mid flight, and is lighter (111 to 126 g).

Does a heavy shaft launch low?

Not always. Nippon built the Tour 130's softer tip to raise the trajectory, so it flies higher than its weight suggests.
