Will this shaft fit your irons?

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 115 is the Modus3 steel iron shaft Nippon released for the series' 10th anniversary, built from tour player feedback with a "Tour Spin" design for trajectory control. Nippon rates it mid trajectory. This listing is the 0.355" taper-tip version, sold one shaft per iron (3-iron to wedge) in R, S and X at 117.5 to 119.5 g.

Before you order: each shaft is made for one iron, so order one per club. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a tour-weight Modus3 around 118 g that sits between the Tour 105 and Tour 120
  • Want to shape and control trajectory: Nippon built the Tour Spin design for that
  • Want to choose flex by feel: only 2 g separates R from X
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel and want a shaft made for each iron

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Born for the 10th anniversary. Nippon built the Tour 115 from top tour players' feedback as a new standard for athletic golfers. It follows the straightforward performance of the Tour 105 and System3 Tour 125, at a weight matched to recent standards.

Tour Spin and straight lines. Nippon's Multi Shape Adjustment (MSA) technology pairs straight-line performance with a Tour Spin design for controlling trajectory. Nippon says the shaft transfers swing power to the head without twisting and responds directly to the player. It rates the Tour 115 mid trajectory, with the kick point listed toward the grip.

One weight, three flexes. R weighs 117.5 g, S 118.5 g and X 119.5 g, so picking a flex is about stiffness, not weight. Torque runs 1.7° (R), 1.6° (S) and 1.5° (X).

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.355" taper-tip hosel. Order one shaft for each iron you are reshafting and pick the iron number in the dropdown: Nippon makes each taper shaft for a specific iron, so a 7-iron shaft is not meant to go in your 5-iron.

Ask a Question
  • Looking for the correct length shaft for my 7 iron which is standard length 37" overall. Can you confirm which option to select and if cutting down is needed to achieve standard length

For your 7-iron, you'll want to select the #7-38.5" shaft lenght, and have it trimmed from the butt to achieve final desired playing length. Here's an article on iron shaft lengths, fyi.
