WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 120 Iron Shaft Bundle Set is a set of seven steel iron shafts with a 0.355" taper tip or a 0.370" parallel tip. Choose #4-PW, #5-GW or #3-#9 in R (111 g), S (114 g), X (120 g) or TX (126 g). Nippon builds the Tour 120 with a stiff tip and softer mid section for a stronger flight with less unwanted spin.

Before you order: pick the tip that matches your iron hosels, 0.355" taper or 0.370" parallel. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work. Only need one or two clubs? Buy the Tour 120 single shaft (0.355") or the 0.370" single shaft.

What's in the Set

Set What you get Available in
#4-PW 7 shafts: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9-iron and PW R, S, X, TX
#5-GW 7 shafts: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9-iron, PW and GW R, S, X, TX
#3-#9 7 shafts: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9-iron R, S, X, TX

Shafts only; club heads and grips are not included. Every shaft in a set is the same model and flex. R, S and X come with a 0.355" or 0.370" tip; TX comes with the 0.355" tip only. The 0.355" taper tips come already sized for each iron. Whichever tip you choose, the butt end is left long so your club builder can cut each shaft to its final length. Want us to install them? See our Retrofit Service.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Are reshafting seven irons with 0.355" taper or 0.370" parallel hosels
  • Want a stiff tip and softer mid section, which Nippon says strengthens the flight and cuts unwanted spin
  • Play a heavier steel shaft now: options run from 111 g (R) to 126 g (TX)
  • Want a TX flex, which this set offers with the 0.355" tip

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Stiff tip, softer mid. Nippon gives the Tour 120 high tip rigidity to steady impact, keep spin down and strengthen the flight. Low rigidity in the mid section is meant to make the shaft easy to control at any tempo, and a softer butt section adds a smoother feel at impact.

Tour-proven Modus3 steel. Nippon credits the Tour 120's accuracy to its raw steel material and heat treatment, and its tight dispersion to close manufacturing tolerances. Kick point is mid/high on Nippon's chart.

Which Modus3 Should I Choose?

Nippon publishes no swing speed or flex chart for the Modus3 Tour line. It describes each model by its weight and bend profile, so choose the model first and then the flex you play now. Here is how the three Modus3 Tour sets we sell compare on Nippon's figures.

Nippon model Weight (g) What Nippon says
Modus3 Tour 105 103–112 Mid flight, mid spin; smooth, traditional bend; kick point toward the grip
Modus3 Tour 120 (this page) 111–126 Stiff tip and softer mid for a stronger flight with less unwanted spin; kick point mid/high
Modus3 Tour 130 121–129 Softer tip for a higher flight with tour spin; stiffer mid for power; middle kick point

Weights run from the R flex to the heaviest flex of each model. Not sure? Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many shafts are in the Modus3 Tour 120 bundle set?

Seven. The #4-PW set covers 4-iron through pitching wedge, the #5-GW set 5-iron through gap wedge and the #3-#9 set 3-iron through 9-iron. Every shaft in a set is the same flex.

Which Modus3 Tour 120 flex should I choose?

Nippon publishes no swing speed chart for the Tour 120. The flexes step up in weight: R 111 g, S 114 g, X 120 g and TX 126 g. Most golfers stay with the flex they play now. Not sure? Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz.

What launch and spin does the Tour 120 have?

Nippon gives it no launch or spin rating. It says the stiff tip steadies impact to help minimize unwanted spin and produce a stronger trajectory.

Do the shafts need to be trimmed?

The 0.355" taper tips come sized for each iron, and the butt end is left long so your club builder can cut each shaft to its final length. See How Nippon Shaft Lengths Work.

What's the difference between the Tour 120 and Tour 105 sets?

Nippon builds the Tour 120 heavier (111 to 126 g) with a stiff tip and softer mid, and offers a TX flex. The Tour 105 is lighter (103 to 112 g) with a smooth, traditional bend that Nippon rates mid flight and mid spin.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • What size should I order for the Callaway Rogue ST Pro irons?

Just order the matching irons you need. There is always extra length for modification but the important thing is to match the iron number.

  • would the shafts fit my new 2021 apexs

If you have the Apex 21 irons, then you'll want to select the 0.370" tip size. If you have the Apex Pro model, then select 0.355" tip size.

  • Do these shafts come with grips ?

No, the shafts do not come with grips. Grips can be purchased separately: https://www.grips4less.com/collections/golf-grips

  • What do they weigh in grams.

These are constant weight shafts. Individual shaft weights are below:
    R-flex: 111g
    S-flex: 114g
    X-flex: 120g
    TX-flex: 126g

  • Will these fit apex pro21.

    Hi Joe,

Yes. The Callaway Apex Pro 21 irons use a .355" taper-tip hosel, and this Nippon Modus3 Tour120 bundle is also .355" taper tip, so they are the correct fit for your irons.

Just choose the flex and set configuration you want, such as #4-PW or #5-GW.

    Thanks,
    Jim

  • Can I do a bundle of Nippon Modus 120 Stiff shafts but have them start at 3 iron length to 9 iron length? I am going to soft step them.

We added the #3-#9 bundles in this product for you ◡̈

  • Would these work with my Ping G430 PDRFLEX

    Hi Richard,

Yes — these Nippon Modus3 Tour120 Shaft Set can work with your Ping G430 irons, but you’ll need to match the correct tip size.

👉 Ping G430 irons use .370 (parallel tip)
👉 The Modus3 Tour120 shafts are commonly .355 taper, unless you specifically choose the .370 version

    ✅ So:

    • If your set is .370 parallel → direct fit
    • If your set is .355 taper → you would need shims to fit

Let me know which version you’re looking at, and I can confirm the exact fit 👍

    Best regards,
    Jim

  • I would like to order Modus Pro T120 shafts for Mizuno Pro 223 4-PW. I need them to play 1 inch long. Will these work?

Yes, they will work. Just make sure to select the correct tip size needed for Mizuno irons (typically they are 0.355" tip, but we'd recommend double checking with the manufacturer). The discrete lengths come longer than standard so they should have no problem assembly for +1". Let us know if you have any questions!

  • Would these work with ping i230 irons?

Yes, but makes sure to select 0.355" tip size.

  • Which one should I order for a set of Taylor 790’s in regular flex.

siince The TaylorMade P790 irons feature a standard tip size of 0.355 inches. , please choose the taper tio version.
