WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Alpha Tour Lite is a filament wound graphite driver and fairway shaft with a mid launch rating. Alpha engineers a high damping ratio into the core for a smooth feel at impact. This is the uncut shaft: 46" raw length, 0.335" tip, in S, R, A or L flex at 68 to 71 g, with the L flex in black or champagne.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a smooth, damped feel at impact
  • Want a mid launch: Alpha rates every Tour Lite flex mid launch
  • Need a senior (A) or ladies (L) flex in a 68 to 71 g shaft
  • Are a club builder or DIY builder who needs an uncut shaft

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want a lighter shaft or an X flex: Alpha makes the Alpha Platinum from 47 to 78 g, LL to X
  • Want a shaft with the adapter and grip already installed: this is the uncut shaft only; see the assembled Alpha Platinum or contact us for help with a build
  • Want published spin or bend point ratings: Alpha publishes launch only

How It Plays

Filament wound for a smooth feel. Alpha builds the Tour Lite by filament winding, with a high damping ratio in the core for a smooth feel at impact and high stiffness for its weight. Alpha says the uniform wall thickness and CNC-machined fiber angles make the fiber symmetric for accuracy and durability.

Mid launch, by frequency. Alpha rates every flex mid launch. The four flexes are close in weight (68 to 71 g), so the flex difference shows up in frequency: 212 cpm in L, 235 in A, 245 in R and 255 in S. Torque is 5.3, or 5.9 in the L.
