WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura Speeder NX Blue is the original Speeder NX. Fujikura rates every build mid-high launch, with spin that comes down as the weight goes up, from mid-high on the 40 series to mid-low on the 60 and 70 series. We build it in 40 to 70 series, R to X flex. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a mid-high flight
  • Like a lighter shaft (the 40 series weighs 47 to 50 g)
  • Want to lower spin by moving up in weight while keeping the same launch rating
  • Play another Speeder NX and want the original profile

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want a lower, flatter flight (Fujikura rates the NX Gold mid launch, and the 70 series Gold mid-low)
  • Need a TX flex (we build the Blue up to X)
  • Want the softest, lightest option for a slow swing (see the Fujikura Air Speeder)

How It Plays

Fujikura rates every Speeder NX Blue build mid-high launch. Spin is where the weights differ: the 40 series is rated mid-high spin with a low bend point, the 50 series mid spin, and the 60 and 70 series mid-low spin, both with a mid bend point.

The core uses Fujikura's Variable Torque Core, which stiffens the twisting stiffness in the tip and handle sections. Fujikura says this keeps dynamic loft and face closure more consistent at impact.

Torque runs from 5.4 degrees on the 40 series to 2.9 on the 70 series, so the heavier builds feel noticeably tighter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which weight should I choose?

In the Speeder NX Blue, weight changes spin more than launch. Fujikura rates every build mid-high launch, with the 40 series at mid-high spin, the 50 series at mid and the 60 and 70 series at mid-low.

How is the Speeder NX Blue different from the NX Violet?

Fujikura gives them the same launch ratings. The Violet adds tighter torque in the tip and butt and is aimed at high-MOI driver heads, while the Blue is the original NX profile.

What is Variable Torque Core?

It's Fujikura's name for tuning twisting stiffness in specific sections of the shaft. In the Speeder NX it stiffens torque in the tip and handle.

Can this shaft be built for a fairway wood?

Yes. Select the fairway wood option and your adapter when adding to cart. Fairway builds can be cut from 38.5" to 43.5" adapter tip to grip, or built to the standard length for your head.

What's included with this assembled shaft?

The shaft arrives with your OEM-compatible adapter tip installed (Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, Krank, Mizuno, Ping, PXG, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist, Tour Edge or Wilson; see all shaft adapters) and your chosen grip installed. Club head is not included. Just attach to your driver or fairway wood head and play. See full assembled shaft details.

Can I return an assembled shaft?

No. Each assembled shaft is built to your specs, so we can't restock it. Double-check your flex, length, grip and adapter before you order, and contact us if you'd like help confirming them.

Not sure which shaft is right for your game?

Text our shaft experts at (818) 473-9086 before you order. We've been fitting golfers since 1991 and are happy to talk through your swing speed, current shaft, and what you're trying to fix.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • What’s difference in feel between this and Ventus Blue?

The main difference is in the 'load.' The Speeder NX Blue feels smoother and more active through the middle of the shaft, providing a bit more 'kick' and a slightly higher launch. In contrast, the Ventus Blue is built for maximum stability with a stiffer overall feel, designed to keep dispersion tight for golfers with faster, more aggressive swings.

  • If I order shaft from you I know that you can cut to size. But can you also tip them ? Thanks!

Yes, just let us know in the custom notes how you'd like it to be tipped. If you leave it blank, we will tip according to the manufacturers instructions for your clubhead.
