WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Iomic Sticky 2.3 is the standard-size grip in Iomic's Sticky series, molded from IOMAX, the elastomer compound Iomic developed in place of rubber to cut grip twist. It weighs 50 g (±2 g) on an M60 core, carries an Iomic torque rating of 2.7, and comes in ten colours. Iomic says it suits every playing style, from beginners to tour pros.

Not sure of your size? Measure from the crease of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger, then check our grip size guide.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Play a standard-size grip and want something other than rubber
  • Notice the grip twisting in your hands on off-center hits: Iomic designed IOMAX for torque control
  • Want a colour that matches your bag: we stock ten colourways
  • Want one grip for any level: Iomic pitches the 2.3 at everyone from beginners to tour pros

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

IOMAX instead of rubber. Iomic found that rubber grips did little to control twisting at impact, so it worked with plastics manufacturers on its own elastomer compound, IOMAX. Iomic says it designed IOMAX for torque control, durability and feel.

A torque number on every grip. Iomic built its own instrument to measure how much a grip twists and publishes a torque figure for each model. A lower number means less twist in Iomic's testing: the Sticky 2.3 is rated 2.7, the Sticky Mid 4.4 1.9 and the Sticky 3.5 1.5.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size is the Iomic Sticky 2.3?

Standard. Iomic lists the 2.3 as the standard size in the Sticky series, with the Sticky 1.8 below it, the Sticky 3.5 between standard and midsize, then the Sticky Mid 4.4 and Sticky Jumbo 5.5.

How much does the Sticky 2.3 weigh?

50 g, plus or minus 2 g, per Iomic. That is about 2 g more than the Sticky 1.8 (48 g) and 6 g less than the Sticky Mid 4.4 (56 g).

What does the 2.7 torque rating mean?

It is Iomic's own measure of how much the grip twists at impact, taken on equipment Iomic built for the job. Lower numbers twist less: the Sticky 2.3 and 1.8 are rated 2.7, the Sticky Black Army 2.3 is 1.5.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • how do the sizes relate to reg, midsize, oversize etc.? 2.3 = ?

Sticky 2.3 grips are equivalent to a Standard grip. The diameter (5cm down from the end cap) is 22.3cm.

  • What is the midsize equivalent? 2.3?

For the midsize version, you'll want to go with the Sticky Mid: http://www.grips4less.com/products/iomic-sticky-mid-grip

  • How long are they

    About 10 3/4" in length

  • Does cleaning the grips have a negative effect on staying tacky?

Nope! Regular cleaning (wiping down with warm/soapy water) is a great way to keep the grips tacky and performing like new!

  • Do these grips come in oversize? And in any other color than black?

Yes, the IOMIC Sticky comes in a Jumbo version (only available in Black at the moment), but here are other UV resistant Oversize grips: https://www.grips4less.com/collections/uv-resistant-golf-grips/oversize-jumbo

  • Are the Iomac grips knock offs?

No, these are authentic IOMIC grips made in Japan and/or Thailand. Our grips come straight from the manufacturer, and when you purchase from grips4less, they are backed by their customer satisfaction guarantee. We highly recommend IOMIC grips.
