WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Nippon N.S.PRO Zelos 7 Hybrid is a lightweight steel hybrid shaft made at 41". Nippon says it keeps the properties of the Zelos 7 and matches the N.S.PRO 750GH, 850GH, 950GH and Zelos 7 irons. It weighs 81.0 g (R2), 81.5 g (R) or 85.5 g (S), with a tip kick point. It arrives assembled with your choice of hybrid adapter and grip, ready to attach to your hybrid head.

Who It's For
Good fit if you...
- Play light steel irons such as the Zelos 7 or 750GH to 950GH and want a hybrid to match
- Prefer the feel of steel in your hybrid
- Want a light hybrid shaft around 81 to 86 g
- Want a softer, easy-loading profile (Nippon lists a tip kick point)
Not the right fit if you...
- Play heavier irons such as the Modus3: the Nippon Modus3 Hybrid runs 91 to 112 g
- Want a graphite hybrid shaft
- Want a firm, heavy hybrid shaft for a fast swing
- Need a driver or fairway shaft
How It Plays
Steel, but light. Nippon makes the Zelos 7 Hybrid at 41" from the same family as the Zelos 7 iron shaft, and says it keeps the properties of N.S.PRO's lightest steel.
Tip kick point. Nippon lists the kick point as Tip on every flex, the opposite end from the Modus3 Hybrid, which Nippon lists as Grip.
Made to match. Nippon designs it to pair with the N.S.PRO 750GH, 850GH, 950GH and Zelos 7 irons, so your hybrid feels like the rest of a light steel set.

Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
I’ve always played graphite in my hybrids because I like the high launch, but I miss the 'connected' feel of steel. Since the Zelos 7 is famous for being ultra-lightweight, does it actually feel like a traditional steel shaft at impact, or is it closer to a heavy graphite? Also, how does the stability hold up if I have a smooth tempo but occasionally go after one?
The Zelos 7 Hybrid is designed to bridge the gap between graphite and steel. It still provides a true steel feel at impact—solid and connected—but at a much lighter weight, making it easier to swing.
It also promotes higher launch, similar to graphite, while maintaining good consistency.
For a smooth tempo, it performs very well. If you occasionally swing aggressively, it may feel a bit more active than heavier steel shafts, but it still remains controlled.
Overall, it’s a great option if you want steel feel with easier launch and lighter weight.
