It uses VeloCore, Fujikura's multi-material bias core that stabilizes the clubhead through impact. We sell it in the 5, 6, 7 and 9 series, R2 through X. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

How It Plays

Fujikura rates the original Ventus Red mid-high launch and mid spin, with a low bend point in the 5 to 7 series and a low/mid bend point in the 9 series. Its profile is a stiff tip, firm mid and ultra-stiff handle. The low bend point helps the ball get up, while the ultra-stiff handle keeps the shaft stable in transition.

VeloCore is Fujikura's multi-material bias core. It uses full-length Pitch 70 Ton carbon fiber, which Fujikura rates about 150% stronger and more stable than T1100G, with 40 Ton bias layers for feel. The goal is more stability through transition and impact, which means more ball speed and tighter dispersion when you miss the center.

The 5 series weighs 58 to 59 g, the 6 series 64.5 to 65 g, the 7 series 71 to 72 g and the 9 series 94 g. Torque runs from 3.9 in the 5 R2 to 3.1 in the 7 X.

    Yes, the R2-flex is equivalent to a Senior flex shaft.

  • how do you know what series to order

    Hi Charles,

    Thank you for your question.

    The series number refers to the shaft weight, not the flex. For example:

    • 5 Series = approximately 50 grams
    • 6 Series = approximately 60 grams
    • 7 Series = approximately 70 grams

    Choosing the right shaft weight depends on several factors, including your swing speed, tempo, strength, and the type of ball flight you're looking for.

    I'd be happy to recommend the best option for you. Could you please let me know:

    • How old are you?
    • Approximately how far do you hit your driver (or do you know your driver swing speed)?
    • What is your current handicap?
    • Are you looking for more distance, more accuracy, or a combination of both?
