In 2004, UST introduced the golf world to the first shaft exclusively designed for hybrids. With a great deal of changes in hybrid club head technology in the last 12 years, UST has upgraded their iRod shaft to match the newest features. 4 separate flexes (A, R, S, and X) can help players find the perfect fit for optimal launch conditions.
The UST iRod Hybrid shaft relies on three main technologies for enhanced performance. First, Recoil Technology is implemented to enhance the spring effect for better energy transfer. Second, variable wall thickness throughout the entire shaft promotes feel, control and accuracy. Last, Linear El Technology transfers maximum energy to the golf ball by enhancing the flex profile and eliminating the typical hinge feeling in most graphite shafts.
