FULL DESCRIPTION
The Mitsubishi Diamana BB is a mid launch, mid spin driver shaft and the most widely played model in the current Diamana generation — built around the classic low-torque, smooth feel that has made Diamana the most imitated premium shaft profile in the industry. It features a medium-plus handle for controlled, smooth loading, a medium-plus mid section for consistent stability through the downswing, and a medium tip that produces a mid-height, penetrating ball flight without pushing trajectory to either extreme. Built with 80-ton DIALEAD pitch fiber in the butt section for maximum stability and energy transfer, high-modulus fiber angle plies to reduce torque, and Mitsubishi's Xlink Tech resin system for enhanced responsiveness and durability. Best suited for swing speeds between 90 and 110 mph who want Diamana's flagship smooth feel at the most versatile launch and spin position in the lineup.
Compared to the Diamana WB and Diamana PD (both low launch, low spin), the BB sits higher on the launch spectrum — making it the better starting point for players who want the classic Diamana feel without locking into the most aggressive low-launch profile. Compared to the Diamana RB (high launch, more active tip), the BB produces a flatter, more penetrating ball flight with tighter dispersion — suited for players who need mid-height carry rather than maximum height. Compared to the Diamana GT (low-to-mid launch, ultra-stiff handle), the BB has a more balanced stiffness profile throughout the shaft that suits a wider range of tempos and loading styles.

Who should play it? Golfers in search of a modern, pro-grade shaft with an incredible smooth feel and premium performance characteristics.
Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
Is the Diamana BB a better fit for a Fairway Wood than a Driver for a high-speed player?
The BB is known for its balanced, mid-launch profile and smooth feel, making it a versatile option that works well in either a driver or fairway wood setup.
Though it works well in both, it’s often used in fairway woods by stronger players who want a slightly easier launch compared to their driver shaft.
-
How is the kick compared to other Diamana profiles?
The BB sits right in the middle of the Diamana family for kick, more than the WB and less than the RB. But what really sets it apart is how it delivers that kick. There's no obvious loading zone or hinge point where you feel it snap; the energy just flows seamlessly from the handle to the head in one smooth motion. Compare that to the WB which has a more explosive, powerful feel through the mid section, or the RB which has a more active and pronounced tip release. The BB is the most forgiving of the three to fit and plays well across a wide range of tempos and swing speeds. If you've ever hit a TB or BF from a previous Diamana generation and loved that feel, the BB is essentially that same profile brought up to current materials.
-
What's the launch and spin profile?
Mid-launch, mid-spin. Nothing fancy going on with the ball flight, optimal trajectory and stays straight. The materials (80-ton Dialead Pitch Fiber in the butt for energy transfer, and 46-ton fiber in the angle) are doing a lot of work to keep the torque down and the energy moving through the shaft. What you'll notice is that it doesn't balloon on you the way a softer shaft can, and it doesn't feel stiff or punishing either. It just launches nicely but with a bit of authority and gets out of your way.
