Before you order: these are taper-tip shafts for irons with a 0.355" hosel. See How Tapered (0.355") Tip Shaft Lengths Work. Only need one or two clubs? Buy the Tour Issue 105 single shaft.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Are reshafting a full set of irons with 0.355" taper-tip hosels
  • Want Dynamic Gold flight in a much lighter shaft: 103 g to 104 g
  • Want a low-launch, low-spin steel shaft (True Temper's rating)
  • Play regular or stiff flex now and want a set that matches closely in weight

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Light weight, tour flight. True Temper says lightweight steel shafts used to trade away tour-level performance, and built Dynamic Gold 105 to close that gap. It rates Tour Issue 105 low launch, low spin and a moderate tempo.

Tight weight tolerance. True Temper says its Tour Issue shafts hold the tightest weight tolerance in the industry, which matters most when every shaft in a set should match. R300 weighs 103 g and S400 104 g.

Which Weight Should I Choose?

True Temper publishes no swing speed chart for these shafts. It rates each one for trajectory, spin and tempo instead, so the easiest way to choose is by weight and flight. Here is how the Dynamic Gold shafts we sell in sets line up on True Temper's figures.

True Temper model Flex and weight (g) Trajectory / spin / tempo
Tour Issue (chrome or Black Onyx) S400 132, X100 130 Low / Low / Moderate

MID 130 Tour Issue S400 130, X100 130 Medium / Medium / Moderate
Dynamic Gold X7 X7 133 Low / Low / Fast

Tempo is how you swing, not how fast: True Temper describes a quicker backswing and more aggressive transition as a faster tempo. Not sure? Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz.
