WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Fujikura Axiom is a graphite iron and hybrid shaft built around VeloCore, the multi-material bias core from the Ventus woods, so the head stays put through transition and impact instead of twisting on you. Fujikura's own tagline for it is "the iron shaft you ditch steel for." It comes in the 75, 95, 105 and 125 gram series as three parallel blanks, Long for the 2 to 4 iron, Mid for the 5 to 7 and Short for the 8-iron through wedge, and this listing is the built version: your adapter tip and grip installed and the shaft cut to the length you give us, ready to screw into an iron or hybrid with an adjustable hosel.

Who It's For
Good fit if you...
- Play steel now and want graphite that holds the face the same way, at a weight close to what you already swing
- Have an iron or hybrid with an adjustable hosel and want the shaft to arrive ready to screw in
- Want a blank matched to each third of the set instead of one shaft cut nine different ways
- Want the stability of VeloCore in your irons, anywhere from a 75 g shaft up to a 125 g shaft
Not the right fit if you...
- Have a glued hosel with no adapter. Order the uncut Axiom 0.370" parallel or, for a taper hosel, the Axiom 0.355" taper and have it installed
- Want a light, high-launch shaft for more carry. Every Axiom series is rated mid or low-mid launch; for a hybrid that launches high, see the assembled Vista Pro Hybrid
- Need it this week. Assembled irons and hybrids are cut to your measurement and take 5 to 7 extra business days
How It Plays
Stable through the turn. VeloCore is a multi-material bias core that runs the length of the shaft and resists twist, so a strike toward the toe doesn't open the face the way it can with a softer graphite shaft. That's the part steel players worry about losing, and it's the part the Axiom keeps. The feel is smoother than steel at the same weight.
Mid flight in the 75 and 95, lower in the 105 and 125. The 75 and 95 are mid launch, mid spin, mid bend point. Step up to the 105 and launch and spin both drop to low-mid, with a mid bend in the S and mid-high in the X. The 125 is the flattest of the group: high bend point, low spin, low-mid launch, with torque down around 1.2 to 1.6 degrees. Heavier doesn't just mean stiffer here. It also means lower and tighter.
Three blanks, not one. Most parallel iron shafts are a single blank cut nine different ways. The Axiom gives you a Long, Mid and Short blank instead, each built for its three irons, and torque steps down from Long to Short in every series. Pick the blank that covers your club, so a 5-iron gets the Mid and a gap wedge gets the Short.
Before you pick your options
- Start with the weight you play now. Coming off a Dynamic Gold S300 at around 130 g, the 125 S is the closest step, not the 125 X. A 105 g steel player lands in the 105 S, or the 105 X for a firmer, more stable feel at the same weight. Change one thing at a time.
- Which blank. Long for the 2, 3 and 4 iron. Mid for the 5, 6 and 7. Short for the 8, 9 and wedges. For a hybrid, start with the Long blank, the longest of the three, and pick the hybrid number it's going into (2 through 7) in the Tip Trim dropdown so the shaft is prepared for that club. For an iron, give us the head model and iron number in the Club build info box.
- Length is measured adapter tip to grip. The number you give us is the shaft assembly with no head on it, measured from the top of the adapter to the end of the grip. Pull the shaft out of the club you're replacing and measure it the same way, and you'll get a club the same length as the one you have. For a custom length, remember the head adds roughly an inch, and every half inch you take off costs about three swingweight points, so if you go shorter than you play now, tell us and we can add tape under the grip or you can plan a heavier head weight.

Graphite. 0.370" parallel tip (our measurement from this listing; Fujikura's chart doesn't print tip diameter), 2.5" parallel tip section, butt diameter 0.600". Raw length is the blank before we cut it. Tip flex and butt flex are Fujikura's stiffness ratings; within a model, the stiffer flex has the lower number. Rows marked * are the 95 series and the 125 S, which aren't on the Fujikura chart we checked, so they carry our existing table.
Specs from Fujikura, checked October 2026.
How the Axiom Series Compare
| Series (You're here) | Launch | Spin | Bend Point | Torque | Flexes We Sell | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Axiom 75 | Mid | Mid | Mid | 2.1 to 2.6 | R2, R, S | 75 to 78 g |
| Axiom 105 | Low-mid | Low-mid | Mid (S) / Mid-high (X) | 1.5 to 1.9 | S, X | 105 g |
| Axiom 125 | Low-mid | Low | High | 1.2 to 1.6 | S, X | 124.5 to 125 g |
Launch, spin, bend point and torque are Fujikura's ratings for the series on its current chart; the 125 S share of the 125 torque range is carried from our existing table. All three rows are sold on this page, which is why every row is highlighted. The 95 series sits between the 75 and the 105 with the same mid launch and mid spin on our table, but it isn't on the Fujikura chart we checked. Shafting a hybrid rather than an iron? We also build the assembled Ventus HB VeloCore+ and the assembled Vista Pro Hybrid. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.
Prefer to Build It Yourself?
The same shaft is available uncut with nothing installed: the Fujikura Axiom Iron Shaft (0.370" Parallel Tip), in every series, flex and blank on this page, or the Axiom 0.355" taper version made for each iron. Pair the parallel one with an adapter from our OEM shaft adapters and you're set. See every assembled shaft we build, or browse all iron shafts and hybrid shafts.
