WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The FST Pro Stepless is a steel iron shaft with a smooth, stepless profile and a stiff tip section, made for skilled players who want a lower ball flight and solid feedback from the clubhead at impact. It comes in two weights, the tour-weight Pro 125 and the 10 g lighter Pro 115, as 43" combination-flex shafts with a 0.370" parallel tip: Pro 115 in A/R or S/X, Pro 125 in S/X.

Before you order: each shaft is one 43" combo-flex length. How much you trim from the tip sets the flex and fits it to the iron, then you butt-trim to playing length. Order one per club, or let our Retrofit Service cut and install them.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a lower ball flight from a steel iron shaft
  • Like a stiff tip with solid, clear feedback at impact
  • Prefer a smooth, stepless look
  • Have irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want a stepped steel shaft or a lighter 100 g option: see the FST steel shaft
  • Have irons with a 0.355" taper tip: this shaft is 0.370" only
  • Want help getting the ball up with a slower swing
  • Are not sure which tip your irons take: take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz first

How It Plays

Stepless profile. The Pro series has a smooth shaft with no visible steps along its length.

Stiff tip. Both Pro models use a tip-stiff flex profile, which keeps the flight lower and gives clear, undistorted feedback from the clubhead at impact.

Two weights, combo flex. The Pro 125 is a conventional tour-weight shaft and the Pro 115 is 10 g lighter. Each is a combination flex: the same raw shaft plays softer or firmer depending on how much is trimmed from the tip. The A/R Pro 115 has a longer 13" parallel tip section; the S/X builds have 11".

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel. It is a single 43" combo-flex length: the amount you tip-trim decides whether it plays as the softer or firmer flex and fits it to each iron, then you butt-trim to playing length, so order one shaft per club.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the FST Pro weigh?

The Pro 115 weighs 115 g and the Pro 125 weighs 125 g, as 43" raw shafts before trimming.

What does A/R or S/X mean?

It is a combination flex. One raw shaft can play as either flex: trimming more from the tip makes it play firmer, trimming less keeps it softer, and the tip trim also fits it to each iron. The tip-trim chart under Specifications gives the amount for each iron and flex, or let our Retrofit Service cut and install them.

Pro 115 or Pro 125?

Same stepless, stiff-tip design. The Pro 125 is the conventional tour weight; the Pro 115 is 10 g lighter and is the only Pro that comes in A/R.

FST Pro or the standard FST steel shaft?

The Pro is stepless with a stiff tip for a lower flight. The standard FST has a step pattern and adds a lighter FST 90 (100 g raw, A/R).

What launch does it have?

The Pro series is made for a lower ball flight, with a stiff tip for stability. We have no numeric launch or spin rating to give beyond that.
