WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Fujikura Vista Pro is a flighted driver and fairway shaft, which means the weight you pick sets the flight: the 45, 55 and 60 series launch high with high spin to put carry back in your game, and the 65 and 75 series launch mid with mid spin for a flatter ball. It carries a multi-material bias core borrowed from what Fujikura learned building the Ventus, so a light shaft doesn't have to feel loose. You pick from 13 weight and flex options, 45 R3 to 75 X, and it arrives with your adapter tip and grip installed, cut to length, ready to screw into your driver or fairway wood.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Hit it flat and have watched your carry shrink, and want a shaft that gets the ball up without a swing change
  • Need a ladies or senior flex from a tour brand. The 45 series comes in R3 and R2, and the 55 in R2
  • Run out of gas on the back nine and want a lighter club you can still swing on the 18th tee
  • Want it built to your specs and ready to play the day it arrives

Not the right fit if you...

  • Already launch it high and spin it up. The light series add more of both, and even the 75 is mid spin. The Pro Black is the low-mid spin choice
  • Want the tightest dispersion on off-center hits. That's the VeloCore+ core in the Ventus Blue
  • Need something lighter than 48 g. The Air Speeder starts at 40.5 g
  • Build your own clubs and just want the raw shaft. Grab the uncut Vista Pro and save the build time

How It Plays

Pick the flight, then the flex. Most shafts give you one profile in several weights. The Vista Pro gives you two. Its 45, 55 and 60 series have a low to low-mid bend point and launch high with high spin, so a slower swing gets the ball in the air and keeps it there. The 65 and 75 move the bend point up to mid and mid-high, and the flight drops to mid launch, mid spin.

Light without the wobble. The multi-material bias core runs through the shaft and keeps the tip from twisting the way a plain lightweight shaft tends to. If you've tried a 50 g shaft before and found the misses went everywhere, this is the part that's different. You get the speed from the weight without giving up the face at impact.

Torque is generous on purpose. It runs from 6.4 degrees in the 45 R3 and R2 down to 4.5 in the 75 X. The high-torque light builds let the head square up for a golfer who doesn't release it hard, which is exactly who the 45 and 55 are for. Move up the weights and the torque tightens along with the flight.

Before you pick your options

  • The 60 and 65 weigh about the same. A 60 S is 65 g and a 65 R is 63.5 g. The number on the shaft is the flight family, not the exact weight. If you're choosing between those two, choose by launch: 60 for high, 65 for mid.
  • R3 is the ladies flex, R2 is senior. Both are only in the light series. A golfer who plays a ladies flex in a 45 g stock shaft should start with the 45 R3. An R2 player with a little more speed usually does better in the 55 R2 than the 45 R2, because the extra weight settles the head.
  • Length is measured adapter tip to grip. The number you pick is the shaft assembly with no head on it. Choose the standard length option for your brand and you get that brand's stock playing length. For a custom length, remember the head adds roughly an inch, so a driver you want to play at 45.25" is about a 44.25" tip-to-grip build. Every half inch you take off costs about three swingweight points, so if you go shorter than stock, tell us and we can add tape under the grip or you can plan a heavier head weight.

R3 is the ladies flex and R2 is senior. Tip flex and butt flex are Fujikura's stiffness ratings; within a model, the stiffer flex has the lower number.

How the Vista Pro Weights Compare

You're here: every series in this table is an option on this listing. Pick it from the dropdown above.

Vista Pro 75 Mid Mid Mid-high 75 to 75.5 g S, X 46"

Launch, spin and bend point are Fujikura's ratings. The same flighted idea runs through the rest of the line: the assembled Vista Pro hybrid shaft matches up with these woods at the top of the bag. The whole brand lineup is in The Fujikura Shaft Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my Cobra F9, my PXG 0311, or another adjustable driver?

Yes. Both have been asked on this page, and the answer is the same for each: it's a 0.335" tip, so it takes any of the adapters in the dropdown. For a Cobra King F9 Speedback, pick the Cobra adapter. For a PXG 0311, the PXG adapter covers every 0311 model, X, XF, GEN and all. If your head isn't on the list, contact us with the model and we'll tell you whether we can build it.

Who is the Vista Pro really for?

The golfer in the 70 to 90 mph range whose ball flight has gone flat and who isn't carrying it the way they used to. That's the answer we've given when this question has come in on this page. It's also a good move for anyone who tires late in the round, because a lighter club is easier to swing at full speed on the back nine. If you swing fast and launch it high already, this isn't your shaft. Look at the Pro Black instead.

Vista Pro or Ventus TR Blue? How do I choose?

Price and what you need from the shaft. The Ventus TR Blue has the full VeloCore+ core plus Spread Tow carbon fabric in the mid and handle, so it's built to fight twisting through transition and impact, and it costs a good deal more. The Vista Pro borrows the bias core idea without the VeloCore+ build, and it's made to launch easier rather than lower. If you want tour-level stability and swing fast enough to load a firm shaft, buy the TR Blue. If you want carry at a friendlier price and a smoother load, the Vista Pro is the one.

I want it half an inch shorter than stock. What length do I order?

Our length dropdown is measured from the adapter tip to the end of the grip, with no head on it. The standard length option for your brand is that brand's stock length, so for half an inch shorter, pick a custom length half an inch under that number. If you'd rather tell us the finished playing length you want, contact us with your head model and we'll work out the tip-to-grip number, since the head adds length (about an inch on most drivers). One thing to know on the 45 series: it starts at 45" raw instead of 46", so a driver longer than stock may not be possible with that one.

Can I use this in a fairway wood?

Yes. Choose the fairway wood option and your adapter when you add it to the cart. The high-launch series make a forgiving 5 or 7 wood for a golfer who struggles to get a fairway up off the deck. Most golfers go one series heavier in the fairway than in the driver, so a 55 R driver player usually ends up in the 60 R or 65 R for the 3 wood.

I'm left-handed. Is anything different about the build?

Nothing about the shaft itself. It isn't handed, and the specs and performance are identical. The only difference is the adapter: some brands make a separate left-handed sleeve, and we install the right one for your head. Just pick your brand and we'll take it from there.

Not sure which shaft is right for your game?

Text our shaft experts at (818) 473-9086 before you order. We've been fitting golfers since 1991 and are happy to talk through your swing speed, current shaft, and what you're trying to fix.
