WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Fujikura Ventus TR Red with VeloCore is the original-generation TR Red: a mid-high launch, mid-low spin driver shaft with the softest tip section in the TR line. It pairs VeloCore with Spread Tow carbon fabric in the mid and handle for more stability through transition. We sell it from the 5 to the 8 series, R2 through X. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

How It Plays
Fujikura rates every TR Red flex we sell mid-high launch, mid-low spin, with a mid bend point (mid-high in the 7 X and 8 X). Fujikura calls it the softest tip section of the TR lineup, made for players who want a mid-high launch with controlled spin and more stability.
Spread Tow is an ultra-light carbon fabric. Fujikura's testing showed the most stress in the mid and handle during transition and the downswing, so the TR adds Spread Tow there to raise torsional stiffness and cut twist and ovalization. Fujikura says each TR model feels like its original Ventus counterpart, with more stiffness and a little less launch and spin.
The 5 series weighs 59 to 59.5 g, the 6 series 67.5 to 69.5 g, the 7 series 77 to 78 g and the 8 X 89.5 g. Torque drops from 3.7 in the 5 R2 to 2.7 in the 8 X.

What is the difference between VENTUS RED and VENTUS TR RED
Main difference between the OG Ventus and TR is the new material that was added to the mid to handle section of the TR shaft. That material creates a stiffer and more stable handle section that also leads to lower launch and spin numbers compared to OG Ventus. TR also is somewhat of a tweener where they fit in between the original Ventus skus. Meaning TR red fits between red and blue, TR blue fit in between blue and black, and TR black is now the lowest launching lowest spinning Ventus option.
