The Project X HZRDUS Red CB Gen 4 is the counterbalanced, player-friendly member of the Gen 4 HZRDUS family, with lighter weights, more moderate torques and a softer bend profile than the Black. The 50 and 60 series launch mid with mid spin for a moderate tempo, and the 40 series ladies flex launches high with high spin. We sell it in the 40, 50 and 60 series, 4.0 through 6.0 flex. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

How It Plays
HZRDUS Red CB Gen 4 was added to the HZRDUS family to fit a wider range of golfers. Compared with the Black, it has lighter weights, more moderate torques and a player-friendly bend profile, so it loads more easily for players who don't transition hard.
CB stands for counterbalanced: more of the shaft's weight sits toward the grip end. That gives a steadier feel through the swing and leaves room to add head weight without making the club feel heavy.
The 50 and 60 series are rated mid launch and mid spin. The 40 series, sold in the 4.0 ladies flex with a white finish, is the lightest at 47 g and is rated high launch and high spin.

I currently play a Sim2 driver with a 6.5 (X STIFF) 60 gram. Hzrdus Smoke low spin shaft. My swing speed has slowed. Currently carry about 215-220. But my ball flight is too low with a hook tendency. I'm hoping to improve accuracy and get a higher launch. Head is a 9.5 degree loft currently adjusted to the highest setting. What shaft would you recommend?

Yes, I think you are looking in the right direction with the HZRDUS Red CB Gen 4.
Your current HZRDUS Smoke 60 / 6.5 is a very stout, low-launch/low-spin X-flex shaft. If your swing speed has slowed and you are only carrying the driver around 215–220 yards now, it is quite possible that shaft is no longer loading enough for you. That can contribute to the low flight you are seeing.
My first choice for you would be the HZRDUS Red CB Gen 4 60 / 5.5 (Regular). It is about 58g, so the overall weight will remain very close to what you are accustomed to, but the shaft is considerably easier to load and has a more player-friendly mid-launch/mid-spin profile. It should give you a better chance of increasing launch and carry without making the club dramatically lighter.
If you would also like a lighter feel and a little more potential clubhead speed, the Red CB 50 / 5.5 at about 52g would be my second choice.
One other point: I would not expect a shaft change alone to completely eliminate the hook. Since you already have the SIM2 adjusted to its highest-loft setting, the head setting can also affect how the club sits and how easily the face turns over. My goal would be to first get you into a shaft that launches properly and is easier for your present swing to load, then fine-tune the loft setting from there.
For what you described, I would start with:

60 Series / 5.5 RegularI think that is the safest transition from your present 60g X-stiff setup while giving you the higher flight and easier loading you are looking for.

To recommend the best HZRDUS Red CB Gen 4 shaft for you, it would be helpful to know a few things:
- Driver swing speed (or your average driving distance if you don't know your swing speed)
- Current driver model
- Current shaft (brand, model, weight, and flex, if known)
- Typical ball flight (too low, too high, slice, hook, etc.)
- What you're hoping to improve (distance, accuracy, higher launch, lower spin, smoother feel, etc.)
As for the length, if you're happy with the length of your current driver, I generally recommend staying with that same playing length. If you're unsure, we can also recommend a length based on your height and your goals (maximum distance vs. improved control).
Once I have that information, I'll be happy to recommend the appropriate weight, flex, and build specifications for your swing.

If I want my driver to play to a length of 44", once I receive it with adapter and grip installed will I need to add weight to the head or is there something you do so that all I have to do is put it the head and swing away?

That's a really great question about swing weight for your Project X Hzrdus Red CB Gen 4 shaft at a 44" playing length!
You're correct that shortening a driver from its standard length (typically 45" to 45.75") to 44" will reduce the overall swing weight of the club. When we assemble your shaft, we build it precisely to the 44" length you request, with the adapter and grip installed.
However, since we don't have your specific driver head to measure and balance, we do not add weight to the club head itself. Swing weight is a balance point created by the combined weight of the head, shaft, and grip.
Therefore, once you receive the shaft and install it into your driver head, you will likely need to add weight to your driver head to bring the swing weight back up to a feel that's comfortable and optimal for you (most golfers prefer something in the D2-D4 range). Many modern driver heads have adjustable weights that make this easy, or you can use lead tape.
While you can certainly "put it in the head and swing away," adjusting the head weight will help you fine-tune the overall feel and balance of the shorter club. This is a common and straightforward process when playing a driver shorter than standard.
