WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Mitsubishi Diamana RB (Red Board) is the highest-launching of Mitsubishi's three current Board profiles (WB, BB and RB). Mitsubishi rates it mid+ launch, mid spin, with an active tip that makes launch easier while keeping the low-torque control of its Diamana siblings. We sell every RB weight from 43 to 83, R2 through TX. It arrives assembled with your choice of adapter and grip, ready to attach to your driver or fairway wood head.

How It Plays
Mitsubishi rates the RB mid+ launch and mid spin, with a flex profile of medium butt, medium mid and soft-plus tip and a mid kick point. It's the classic Red Board shape: the active tip section helps launch the ball, while low torque keeps it under control down range.
The RB shares the material package of the 6th-generation Diamana line: 80-ton DIALEAD pitch fiber in the butt for stability and energy transfer, 46-ton high modulus fiber in the angle plies to lower torque without adding weight, and Mitsubishi's Xlink Tech resin for strength and durability.
It also brings back the original 43, 53, 63, 73 and 83 weight names. Mitsubishi pitches it at golfers who want a little more speed from an active tip while keeping control.

I play the Diamana 53 stiff in my driver. I love the feel that I want to put it in my 7 wood and 9 wood. My wood ate the cobra optm x. Are you able to help with shaft specifics for each wood?

Absolutely! I'd be happy to help.
Since you're already playing and enjoying the Diamana RB 53 Stiff in your driver, my recommendation would be to stay within the same Diamana RB family and simply move up in weight for your fairway woods. This will maintain the same smooth feel and shaft profile while providing the additional stability that fairway woods typically benefit from.
My recommendation would be:
- 7 Wood: Diamana RB 63 Stiff
- 9 Wood: Diamana RB 73 Stiff (or 63 Stiff if you prefer to keep the overall club weight a little lighter)
We can certainly build both shafts with the correct Cobra DS-Adapt X adapters and your choice of grip.
One quick question: What is your approximate driver swing speed or your average 7-iron carry distance? That will help me confirm whether the 63/73 combination is ideal for your game.

How does the RB compare to the older Red Board models like the RF or M+?
The older Red Board shafts like the RF and M+ had a very obvious kick at the bottom of the swing — you could feel the tip snap through impact, which was great if your timing was right but punishing if it wasn't. The new RB is much smoother. The tip is still active, but it loads and unloads gradually through the whole swing instead of kicking all at once. It's easier to control, doesn't balloon on faster swings the way some of the older ones did, and the overall feel is more premium. If you played a Red Board from 10 or 15 years ago and liked the concept but not the harshness, the new RB is worth a fresh look.
