Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want to feel the shaft load through the mid section
  • Like a firm handle and a stable tip
  • Want a choice of weights from 48 to 79 g
  • Play anywhere from senior to tour x-stiff flex

Not the right fit if you...

  • Want an active, soft handle (see the AO2 Blue)
  • Want a soft, whippy tip
  • Need ladies flex
  • Want a shaft over 80 g

How It Plays

Aretera describes the EC1 Blue section by section: firm in the handle, compliant yet stable in the mid, and firm and twist resistant in the tip. Aretera says the design aims for predictable loading, repeatable delivery and torsional strength that holds the head square through impact.

Aretera made tip stiffness the only difference between the EC1 Blue and EC1 Gray; the Gray tip is 7% stiffer. Weights run 48 to 79 g, with torque from 4.9 (45 series, flex 2) down to 3.2 (75 series).
