How It Plays

Luxury Black finish. Luxury Black is Nippon's matte black plating, covered by Japanese Patent No. 7047197. Nippon says its surface treatment keeps the shaft's color and appearance consistent over a long period, and calls the process environmentally friendly. Nippon offers it on the Modus3 Tour iron shafts and on the Modus3 Wedge.

Modus3 Wedge underneath. Nippon developed the Modus3 Wedge from its N.S.PRO WV wedge shaft with feedback from tour players. Its wall thickness technology adds stability in spin and direction, and Multi Heat Treatment (MHT) tunes the feel through each section. Nippon rates it low trajectory with less variable spin and a middle kick point.

Three weights. The Wedge 105 weighs 111 g, the 115 weighs 122 g and the 125 weighs 133 g, with torque from 1.6° down to 1.3°.
