WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The UST Recoil Dart HDC is a graphite iron shaft made with High Density Carbon, a low-resin, high-density carbon fiber UST uses for feel, plus DART hoop-stiffness tuning and Dual Action Recoil Technology. UST rates every build mid launch. It is a 41" shaft with a 0.370" parallel tip, sold in the 70 or 80 series in A (F2), R (F3) or S (F4).

Before you order: each shaft is one 41" length that gets tip- and butt-trimmed for the iron it goes in. Order one per club, or let our Retrofit Service cut and install them.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a graphite iron shaft built for consistency and feel
  • Want a mid launch from a 63 to 79 g shaft
  • Have irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel
  • Swing about 70 to 105 mph with the driver (UST's A to S range)

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

High Density Carbon. UST says HDC is a low-resin, high-density carbon fiber that gets the most from the carbon and gives the best possible feel.

DART hoop stiffness. UST tunes hoop stiffness in the energy transfer section for distance and raises it in the tip to keep feel and stabilize the tip for consistent ball flight. Dual Action Recoil Technology removes inconsistent areas in the shaft.

Mid launch, two weights. UST rates every build mid launch. The 70 series runs 63 to 69 g with 4.7 to 5.0 torque, the 80 series 72 to 79 g with 3.8 torque.

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel. It is a single 41" length that is tip-trimmed for each iron and then butt-trimmed to playing length, so order one shaft per club. UST's tip trim chart runs from 0" for the 2-iron, adding 0.5" per iron, to 4.0" for the wedge.

Not sure which tip your irons take? Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz, or let us cut and install them with our Retrofit Service.
