Questions & Answers
Have a Question?

Does this shaft work with aggressive transition swings?
Yes, but with a little nuance. The CQ has a mid-high launch profile with a softer tip, which means an aggressive transition can load it up nicely. However if your transition is really fast and abrupt, you might spin the ball a bit more than you'd like. Players who make an aggressive move but still have some sequencing to their swing tend to get the best out of it. If you're more of a "grip it and rip it" type with very little lag, something with a stiffer tip section might be a better fit. If you're unsure, please reach out and we can help. We love a good shaft puzzle 😄

What's the feel like compared to the Ventus Black?
The Ventus Black is built for maximum stability and a low, penetrating ball flight — it's a Tour favorite for a reason. The Tour AD CQ takes a different approach: more responsive through the mid-section, with a livelier feel at impact and a slightly higher launch. Two great shafts, just different feel and personalities. If you're Basically the CQ has more feedback and a higher flight.

I swing about 95mph with my Cobra ds-adapt driver, 7 handicap. Looking for something mid-high launch thats really straight with minimal dispersion. Would this shaft be good?
Yes this would be a great fit on the launch side. Its a mid-high launch and mid spin profile. With the 95mph swing speed you're in the regular flex range (but also could go with stiff, especially if you have an aggressive swing tempo). Keep in mind the CQ has a mid-low kickpoint and was built to load and release through the downswing. So if you do have an aggressive transition it might load up more than you'd expect. This shaft is really designed more for the even tempo player and will give a great tight shot pattern for them. If you need something that can handle a little harder swing, we would recommend looking at the Tour AD HD for better control. Hope this helps!
