The new Kai’li™ Dark Waves Red derives its name from a blend of words that evoke the power of the ocean – the perfect moniker for an unprecedented shaft that explores new depths of strength and performance. The, Kai’li Dark Waves Red is a high spinning, mid launching shaft that manages to retain super low torque performance comparable to its White and Blue siblings. Built with MR70 for strength and Super Low Resin Content prepreg for feel, and now Xlink Resin in the tip-section for enhanced durability, Kai’li Red creates different launch and spin characteristics than its siblings through the use of a softer tip flex and a slightly higher balance point.

The Mitsubishi Kai'li Dark Waves Red is a mid launch, mid spin driver shaft built on the Kai'li stability platform — delivering the same low-torque, consistent feel the Kai'li family is known for in a premium Dark Waves visual design. Note that in the Dark Waves series, the color designation refers to the finish rather than a performance profile — the Kai'li Dark Waves Red shares the same mid launch, mid spin profile as the Dark Waves White and Dark Waves Blue. It features a medium-stiffness handle for smooth loading, a medium-plus mid section that provides slightly more stability than the standard Kai'li Blue through the downswing, and a medium tip for a balanced, consistent ball flight. Best suited for swing speeds between 88 and 105 mph looking for a premium, stability-focused mid-launch shaft with a distinctive visual identity.
Compared to the standard Kai'li Blue (also mid launch, mid spin), the Dark Waves has a slightly firmer mid section — giving it marginally more stability and a more planted feel through the hitting zone while maintaining the same overall launch and spin window. Compared to the Kai'li Dark Waves White and Kai'li Dark Waves Blue, the performance profile is identical — the Red finish is purely a visual preference within the Dark Waves collection.
