DESCRIPTION
The stiffest VENTUS profile to date. Ultra-stiff tip and handle sections work in unison to support players with Tour-like speeds that prefer the feeling of minimal to no flex during the swing. As a shaft designed for players with a fast transition, spread tow fabric reinforces the mid/handle section even further, holding up to even the most aggressive moves to the golf ball.
Ventus TR is the result of decades of engineering expertise and advanced analytics from the enso® motion capture system. Built on revolutionary VeloCore Technology and engineered with new ultra-strong carbon fabric.
With VeloCore Technology providing an incredibly stable platform for performance, the additional integration of a unique Spread Tow carbon fabric works in unison to create advanced overall stability without compromising player feel.
Ongoing enso® analytics show that the shaft undergoes tremendous stress in the mid/handle section during the transition and downswing. By incorporating an incredibly strong and ultra-lightweight Spread Tow carbon fabric, VENTUS TR is able to increase torsional stiffness in this specific section, helping to even further reduce twist and ovalization during the swing.
Fujikura Shaft Profile Guide
The table below shows the stiffness profile across three sections — tip, mid, and handle — for each Fujikura shaft model. Tip stiffness most directly affects launch and spin. Handle stiffness influences feel and load during the swing.
| Model | Tip | Mid | Handle |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 Ventus (VeloCore+) | Ultra-stiff | Stiff | Firm |
| Ventus TR Red | Stiff | Stiff | Ultra-stiff |
| Ventus TR Blue | Ultra-stiff | Stiff | Stiff |
| Ventus TR Black | Ultra-stiff | Stiff | Ultra-stiff |
| Ventus Red | Stiff | Firm | Ultra-stiff |
| Ventus Blue | Ultra-stiff | Stiff | Firm |
| Ventus Black | Ultra-stiff | Stiff | Stiff |
| Speeder NX Blue | Stiff | Stiff | Firm |
| Speeder NX Green | Stiff | Stiff | Stiff |
| Motore X F1 | Stiff | Stiff | Firm |
| Motore X F3 | Stiff | Firm | Medium |
| Air Speeder 40 | Medium | Medium | Soft |
| Vista Pro | Flighted line — refer to specs as profiles vary by weight and flex | ||
Profile stiffness scale from softest to firmest: Soft → Medium → Firm → Stiff → Ultra-stiff. Tip stiffness most directly influences launch angle and spin rate. A stiffer tip produces lower launch and lower spin. A softer tip produces higher launch and more spin.

More about Ventus Black
The Ventus Black is built specifically for lower launch and lower spin — a firmer, more stable feel with an ultra-stiff tip section designed to hold up under aggressive transition moves. It works best for stronger ball strikers who are already creating too much height or spin and want to flatten their ball flight. It's also one of the most overfitted shafts in the Ventus lineup — a lot of golfers gravitate toward it because it sounds tour-level, when their actual swing would fit Ventus Blue or even Red much better.
Ventus TR keeps the same general profile direction as the original Ventus family but adds a more reinforced, stability-focused construction through the mid and handle section. Fujikura built it specifically for players who want the Ventus feel with a tighter, more locked-in response through transition and impact — particularly useful for golfers with faster tempos or more aggressive transition moves. TR Blue sits between standard Blue and Black in terms of launch and spin. TR Red is the softest tip in the TR lineup, still promoting mid-high launch with added stability. TR Black is the lowest-launching, lowest-spinning Ventus option available.
