WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Golf Pride New Decade MultiCompound (MCC) Midsize is Golf Pride's original hybrid golf grip: Brushed Cotton Cord in the upper hand for traction and performance rubber in the lower hand for feel. Golf Pride calls it "the #1 hybrid grip in golf." The midsize weighs 59.0 g with a 60 Round core and comes in Black, Blue, Red or White. Golf Pride recommends midsize for hands 7.6" to 9" long.

Not sure of your size? Measure from the crease of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger, then check our grip size guide.

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Have hands 7.6" to 9" long, or wear a men's L or XL glove (Golf Pride's midsize range)
  • Want cord traction in your top hand and a softer rubber feel in your bottom hand
  • Have sweaty hands or play in wet weather: Golf Pride says the cotton cord upper wicks moisture
  • Prefer a regular taper to the built-up lower hand of the Plus4

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Dual-Traction. Golf Pride built the MCC around two materials: Brushed Cotton Cord in the upper hand, which it says wicks moisture and suits golfers with sweaty hands, and high-performance rubber in the lower hand for feel and responsiveness.

Maximum Surface Texture. Pebbled texture and plus-sign patterns cover the whole grip. Golf Pride says that gives you a firmer connection to the club whatever the weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should use a midsize grip?

Golf Pride recommends midsize for hands 7.6" to 9" long, measured from the crease of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger, or a men's L or XL glove. Under 7.6" usually means Standard; over 9" means Jumbo.

How much does the MCC Midsize weigh?

59.0 g for the single-colour midsize MCC, per Golf Pride's grip specifications. That is 12.5 g more than the MCC Standard (46.5 g) and 7 g less than the MCC Plus4 Midsize (66.0 g).

What's the difference between the MCC and the MCC Plus4?

Both are hybrid grips with cotton cord in the upper hand and rubber in the lower hand. The Plus4 adds a larger lower hand that simulates four extra wraps of tape, so it has less taper and Golf Pride says it encourages lighter grip pressure. The original MCC keeps a regular taper.

What's the difference between the MCC and the MCC ALIGN?

The ALIGN adds Golf Pride's raised ridge, which Golf Pride says gives more consistent hand placement. The regular MCC is round, with no ridge.

Is the MCC good for wet weather or sweaty hands?

Golf Pride says the Brushed Cotton Cord upper wicks moisture and is ideal for golfers with sweaty hands, and that the grip gives feel and responsiveness in any condition.

What colours does the MCC Midsize come in?

We sell Black (MSC -60R-M10-XA), Blue (MSC -60R-M22-10), Red (MSC -60R-12 -X4) and White (MSC -60R-M07-X9).

Ask a Question
  • I just bought a set of taylormade p770 irons and I would like to put some different grips on I'm interested in some thicker golf pride grips with a lot of color which ones would be recommended thanks

Check out the Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G grips, as well as the CP2 Pro & Wrap grips. These are both thicker, and have more softness to them. The MCC Plus4 is also a great option (a little bit thicker at the bottom than the New Decade), and with more color options.
